Please note: On Mother's Day, overall Adult 18-49 primetime TV Usage declined -6% from the prior Sunday (27.8 vs. 29.6)
"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m. - 5.3 million and 1.2/5 in AD18-49):
At 7:00 p.m., ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" won its hour for the 2nd week running with Adults 18-49 (1.2/5).
"Once Upon a Time" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 3.8 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49):
Running within 1-tenth of NBC's "Little Big Shots" for the Adult 18-49 lead in the 8 o'clock hour (1.2/4 vs. 1.3/5), ABC's "Once Upon a Time" held even week to week and defeated CBS' season finale of "Madam Secretary" by 20% (1.0/4).
"The Family" (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 2.8 million and 0.8/3 in AD18-49):
Up against HBO's "Game of Thrones" in the 9:00 p.m. hour, ABC's "The Family" held steady with the prior week in Adults 18-49 (0.7/2 vs. 0.8/2). Live + 7 Day Season to Date: On average, "The Family" jumps +75% in Adults 18-49 from its L+SD to L+7 number to deliver a 1.4 rating.
"Quantico" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 3.4 million and 0.9/3 in AD18-49):
Building on its lead-in at 10:00 p.m. (+29%), ABC's "Quantico" beat out CBS' season finale of "Elementary" by 29% in Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 0.7/2). The
ABC drama remained steady week to week in Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 1.0/3). Live + 7 Day Season to Date: Based on original telecasts, "Quantico" is broadcast TV's biggest percentage gainer this season in playback, more than doubling its Adult 18-49 number from L+SD to L+7 (+108%) to an average 2.7 rating.
• Season to date, "Quantico" is improving its time period by 39% in Adults 18-49 to deliver a 5-year high for
ABC in the time slot - since 2010-11 season.
A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
