ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY Stands as Thursdays No. 2 TV Show

ABC Thursday Prime (8:00-11:00 p.m. - 5.1 million and 1.3/5 in AD18-49): ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" stood as Thursday's No. 2 TV show to "The Big Bang Theory" in Adults 18-49, outdelivering CBS' "The Great Indoors" out of "Big Bang" at 8:30 p.m. by 24% (2.1/8 vs. 1.7/6) and moving ABC up to No. 1 in the half-hour. In addition, "Grey's" was Thursday's No. 1 drama for the 7th straight week this season in Adults 18-49. "Grey's" was also once again Thursday's No. 1 TV show overall with Women 18-34.

Holding steady week to week, each of ABC's Thursday dramas paced within 1-tenth of the prior week among Adults 18-49: "Grey's" (2.1/8 vs. 2.2/8), "Notorious" (0.8/3 both weeks) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (1.1/4 vs. 1.2/4).

ABC's Thursday Dramas Jump in L+7, With "Murder" as TV's Top Percentage Gainer This Season: On average through 4 weeks of Live + 7 Day playback this season, ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" surges +70% over its L+SD Adult 18-49 rating, "Notorious" grows +60% and "How to Get Away with Murder" spikes +117%. In fact, "HTGAWM" is the season's No. 1 gainer in L+7 playback on the broadcast networks among Adults 18-49.

Projections Rationale: Lifts vs. L+SD are based on 2015-16 season averages for originals (excluding the premiere). Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals). New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate Nielsen measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
