"GMA" outdelivered the No. 2 ranked NBC "Today Show" (4.636 million and 1.889 million, respectively) by +702,000 Total Viewers and +63,000 Adults 25-54. "GMA" increased its advantages over the "Today Show" compared to the previous week (+648,000 and +4,000, respectively, on w/o 3/25/13). Additionally, GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo! reached almost 23 million users in February 2013. It is the No. 1 morning news website and beats Today.com by millions of users each month.
The
ABC morning newscast has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in all 27 weeks of the season and in 22 of 27 weeks in Adults 25-54. In fact, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 every week in Total Viewers for more than eight months (the last 33 weeks - since w/o 8/13/12) and in 38 of the last 40 weeks (behind "Today" only during the 2 weeks of the Summer Olympics). Further, "GMA's" 33 consecutive weeks at No. 1 stand as its longest stretch in 20 years - since the 1992-93 season, w/o 11/9/92 - w/o 6/28/93. In Adults 25-54, "GMA" ranked No. 1 in 26 of the past 31 weeks.
For the 3rd week in a row, "GMA" posted week-to-week increases in Total Viewers (+3%) and Adults 25-54 (+6%) - 5.159 million and 1.837 million, respectively, on w/o 3/25/13.
"GMA" improved on the year-ago week (4.922 million and 1.830 million, respectively, on w/o 4/2/12) in both Total Viewers (+8%) and Adults 25-54 (+7%), building on the same week last year in overall viewers in all 27 weeks this season. In contrast, NBC's "Today" was not only down year to year (-9%/-12%), but has seen losses in overall viewers and in the key news demo in all 27 weeks of the season. In fact, "Today" has posted decreases for the last 33 weeks overall, starting with the week following the Summer Olympics (since w/o 8/13/12).
Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning news program in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. In fact, "GMA" is leading "Today" by its largest season margin in overall viewers (+601,000) in more than 21 years, and in the key adult news demo (+74,000) in 20 years - since at least the 1991-92 season and the 1992-93 season, respectively; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.
Season to date "GMA" is up in both Total Viewers (+7%) and Adults 25-54 (+2%) versus its year-ago averages, growing the most in the key adult news demo (NBC's "Today" is down -14%/-20%, respectively; CBS' "This Morning" is up +9%/less than +1%, respectively). "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in 8 years and best Adult 25-54 performance in 4 years - since the 2004-05 and 2008-09 seasons, respectively.
For the week, "GMA" nearly doubled the performance of CBS' "This Morning" in Total Viewers (+92%) and Adults 25-54 (+93%).

Based on the most-recent numbers of Nielsen's C3 Ratings data (Commercial Ratings + 3 Day Playback) for the week of March 18, 2013, "Good Morning America" ranked No. 1 in both Total Viewers (4.898 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.818 million) for the 9th consecutive week. In fact, the
ABC morning program has ranked No. 1 in all 26 weeks this season in the C3 Ratings in Total Viewers and in 23 of 26 weeks in Adults 25-54. Commercial Ratings + 3 Days of Playback are the television industry's currency used to broker sales to advertisers.
For the week, "GMA" beat No. 2 ranked "Today" (4.518 million and 1.761 million, respectively) by +380,000 Total Viewers and by +47,000 Adults 25-54.
For the 5th week in a row, "GMA" grew from its year-ago C3 numbers (4.629 million and 1.787 million, respectively, on w/o 3/19/12) in both Total Viewers (+6%) and Adults 25-54 (+1%). "GMA" has improved on its Total Viewer audience in 25 of 26 weeks this season and in 20 of 26 in the key adult news demo. NBC's "Today" was down from the year-ago week in both Nielsen measures (-4%/-7%).
