ABC News' "Good Morning America" stood as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (4.241 million) for the week of March 27, 2017, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" led NBC's "Today" (4.015 million) by 226,000, increasing its leads over the NBC program by 33% versus the previous week (vs. +170,000 for w/o 3/20/17) and by 51% compared to the same week last year (vs. +150,000 for w/o 3/28/16).
"GMA" narrowed its week-to-week margins with "Today" in Adults 25-54 (-22% - 211,000 vs. 270,000) and Adults 18-49 (-10% - 202,000 vs. 225,000).
Season to date, "GMA" is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, leading "Today" by 174,000 (4.619 million vs. 4.445 million) to take the top spot at this point of the season for the 5th year in a row.
During the week, "GMA" beat "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+17%/+601,000), Adults 25-54 (+27%/+286,000) and Adults 18-49 (+28%/+212,000).
