"GMA" beat "Today" (4.262 million) by 214,000, widening its lead from the previous week by 29% (vs. 166,000 on w/o 10/17/16).
"GMA" saw increases over the previous week (1.476 million and 1.035 million, respectively, for w/o 10/17/16) in Adults 25-54 (+3%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%).
For the 4th week in a row, "GMA" cut its margin with "Today" in Adults 25-54 (-26% - 156,000 vs. 211,000), delivering its closest finish in the key adult news demo in 3 months - since w/o 7/11/16.
Season to date, "GMA" is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, leading "Today" by 163,000 (4.510 million vs. 4.347 million) to take the top spot at this point of the season for the 5th year in a row.
During the week, "GMA" defeated "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+27%/+949,000), Adults 25-54 (+42%/+452,000) and Adults 18-49 (+43%/+327,000).
