Taking the top spot for the 4th consecutive week, "GMA" outdelivered "Today" (4.191 million and 1.569 million, respectively) by larger week-to-week advantages in both Total Viewers (+46% - 531,000 vs. 363,000) and Adults 25-54 (+27% - 19,000 vs. 15,000). In fact, "GMA" turned in its largest overall viewer lead in 9 weeks - since w/o 6/15/15.
"GMA" also increased its winning margin over the
NBC program versus the year-ago week (+22% - 531,000 vs. 435,000 for w/o 8/18/14).
Building its Total Viewer count for the 2nd week in a row (+2% - 4.722 million vs. 4.623 million for w/o 8/10/15), "GMA" drew its largest overall audience in 2 months - since w/o 6/15/15.
Season to date, "GMA" is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. "GMA" is leading "Today" by 550,000 Total Viewers and by 105,000 Adults 25-54. In fact, "GMA" is ranking No. 1 for the 3rd straight season in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54.
During the week, "GMA" beat "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+44%/+1.450 million), Adults 25-54 (+66%/+631,000) and Adults 18-49 (+57%/+392,000).
