ABC News' "Good Morning America" averaged 4.246 million Total Viewers, 1.375 million Adults 25-54 and 991,000 Adults 18-49 for the week of August 22, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.
For the 2nd week in a row, "GMA" turned in gains from the previous week (4.128 million, 1.366 million and 980,000, respectively, for w/o 8/15/16) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+3%), Adults 25-54 (+1%) and Adults 18-49 (+1%). In fact, "GMA" saw its most watched week in 7 weeks and best key adult performances in 6 weeks - since weeks of 7/4/16 and 7/11/16, respectively.
Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating "Today" by 151,000 (4.755 million vs. 4.604 million), taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.
During the week, "GMA" led "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+25%/+836,000), Adults 25-54 (+36%/+365,000) and Adults 18-49 (+34%/+251,000).
