ABC (12.0 million) was the most-watched broadcaster on Monday for the 2nd week in a row, with "Dancing" (13.2 million) as the night's top non-sports program.

"Dancing with the Stars" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 13.2 million and 2.1/6 in AD18-49):
Head to head from 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" delivered more viewers than NBC's "The Voice" for the 2nd consecutive week (13.2 million vs. 12.1 million). "DWTS" built on its week-ago numbers in Total Viewers (+5% - 13.2 million vs. 12.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (+5% - 2.1/6 vs. 2.0/6) to equal best-since-premiere results - since 9/15/14. Building 10% from its first to second hour among Adults 18-49, "Dancing" beat out Fox's "Sleepy Hollow" from 9:00-10:00 p.m. for the 6th week running (by a best-yet +38% - 2.2/6 vs. 1.6/4). "DWTS" once again ranked as Monday's most social broadcast series (71,139 tweets).

"Castle" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 9.7 million and 1.9/5 in AD18-49):
In the 10:00 p.m. hour, ABC's "Castle" defeated CBS' "NCIS: LA" in Total Viewers (9.7 million vs. 8.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.9/5 vs. 1.6/5). The ABC drama was up week to week in Total Viewers (+10%) and Adults 18-49 (+27%) to tie its best numbers since its season premiere - since 9/29/14.

A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 49% currently, from 48% at the same point in 2013. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
