"Bachelor in Paradise" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 5.0 million and 1.4/5 in AD18-49): From 8:00-10:00 p.m., night 1 of ABC's "Bachelor in Paradise" 2-night season finale grew by double digits over its corresponding year-ago Sunday finale in Total Viewers (+28% - 5.0 million vs. 3.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (+27% - 1.4/5 vs. 1.1/4). ABC's "Bachelor in Paradise" was Monday's No. 1 TV show in Adults 18-34 and all key Women (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54) and ranked as the No. 2 program in Adults 18-49, behind only NBC's "American Ninja Warrior." Please note: Last year's the "Bachelor in Paradise" finale also aired over 2 nights, on the corresponding year-ago Sunday and Monday, respectively (9/6/15 and 9/7/15).
Projections Rationale: Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2015-16 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.
A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
