ABC earned second place on Monday night among Total Viewers (4.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.2/5). The Net ranked No. 1 on Monday with Adults 18-34 (tie) and key Women (W18-34/W18-49).
"Bachelor in Paradise" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 5.2 million and 1.6/6 in AD18-49): From 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's "Bachelor in Paradise" built for the 2nd week in Total Viewers (+11% - 5.2 million vs. 4.7 million) and rose 14% in Adults 18-49 (1.6/6 vs. 1.4/5), setting new season highs on both measures. In fact it was the series' 2nd-highest-ever Adult 18-49 rating.
"Bachelor in Paradise" was Monday's No. 1 TV show in Adults 18-34 and across all key Women demographics (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54) and ranked as the No. 2 program in Adults 18-49, behind only NBC's "American Ninja Warrior."
"Mistresses" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 2.5 million and 0.6/2 in AD18-49):
At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "Mistresses" increased week to week by 19% in Total Viewers (2.5 million vs. 2.1 million) and by 20% in Adults 18-49 (0.6/2 vs. 0.5/2).
Projections Rationale: Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2015-16 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere). Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals). New Series: Based on similar series.
A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
