On Its Season Finale, '500 Questions' Surges 18% to Draw
Its Biggest Audience Since Its Season Premiere

Wednesday (6/1/16) - ABC Viewer and Adult 18-49 Projections
"500 Questions": L3 = 4.8 million/0.9 rating and L7 = 4.9 million/0.9 rating

"500 Questions" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 4.5 million and 0.8/3 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-10:00 p.m. opposite season premiere unscripted competition from NBC's 2-hour "American Ninja Warrior" and Fox's "MasterChef" (8:00-9:00 p.m.), the season finale of ABC's "500 Questions" surged 18% from the previous night in Total Viewers (4.5 million vs. 3.8 million) and held even with its National Adult 18-49 rating (0.8/3). "500 Questions" drew its biggest audience since its season premiere and tied a best-since-premiere young adult number - since 5/26/16.

Projections Rationale:
Lifts vs. L+SD are based on 2015-16 season averages for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate Nielsen measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
