ABC to Pick Up BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Pilot

According to TVLine.com the ABC network has picked up a pilot of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, a reimagined version of the classic fairytale. 

The pilot will be written and executive produced by Jon Steinberg, the creator of 'Human Target' and 'Jerico'. According to the announcement, ABC's new fantasy drama will be “a fantastical reimagining of the classic fairy tale, set in a mythical, dangerous world wherein a beautiful and tough Princess discovers an unlikely connection with a mysterious beast.”

Recently The CW network announced that it had ordered a pilot which will be an updated version of the popular 1980's drama 'Beauty and the Beast'.
