ABC has announced that, on April 22nd, it will swap the time periods of its hour-long Thursday drama's, 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice.' The move will avoid having original episodes of the new show, 'FlashForward,' and 'Private Practice' air on either side of 'Grey's Anatomy.'

A new episode of 'Practice' will air on 9:00pm EST followed by a repeat episode of 'Grey's' at 10:00pm EST.

Grey's Anatomy was created and is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge). Betsy Beers (Casanova), Mark Gordon (Saving Private Ryan), Krista Vernoff (Law & Order), Rob Corn (Chicago Hope), Mark Wilding (Jake: 2.0) and Allan Heinberg (The O.C.) are executive producers. Grey's Anatomy is an ABC Studios production.

Private Practice is a medical drama television program which premiered on September 26, 2007 on ABC. A spin-off of Grey's Anatomy, the series chronicles the life of Dr. Addison Montgomery, played by Kate Walsh, as she leaves Seattle Grace Hospital in order to join a private practice in Los Angeles. The series also stars several Broadway stars, including Audra McDonald and Taye Diggs.
