Growing week to week by 8% in Total Viewers and by 11% in Adults 25-54 (7.05 million and 1.71 million, respectively, on w/o 10/15/12) to hit season highs in both measures, "World News" drew its most-watched week in 6 weeks and best news demo performance in 8 weeks – since w/o 9/10/12 and w/o 8/27/12, respectively.
On Tuesday (10/23/12), "World News" delivered its strongest telecast of the season in both Total Viewers (8.16 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.09 million). "World News" narrowed its margins with "NBC Nightly News" week to week in both Total Viewers (-45% - 439,000 vs. 805,000) and Adults 25-54 (-30% - 321,000 vs. 459,000) to turn in its smallest overall viewer gap since premiere week – since w/o 9/24/12."World News" cut its year-to-year gaps with "NBC Nightly News" in Total Viewers (-58% - 439,000 vs. 1.04 million) and Adults 25-54 (-17% - 321,000 vs. 387,000).
