With its Charlie Brown Christmas specials and the premiere of "The Great Holiday Baking Show," ABC took second in Adults 18-49 (1.6/5) to NBC, beating drama lineups on CBS by 23% (1.3/4) and FOX by 33% (1.2/4 - fall finales of "Gotham"/"Minority Report"). The Net won the night among Kids 2-11, with "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (2.1/9) and "It's Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown" (1.8/6) as the night's Top 2 shows, respectively.

"It's Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 7.3 million and 2.0/6 in AD18-49):

From 8:00-9:00 p.m. against the first hour of NBC's "The Voice," ABC's "It's Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown" ran a strong second among the broadcasters in Adults 18-49 (1.8/6), beating CBS' "Supergirl" by 13% (1.6/5) and Fox's "Gotham" finale by 13% (1.6/5).

  • The PEANUTS special won the hour with Kids 2-11, delivering a 2-year high for ABC in the hour - since 12/2/13.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 7.3 million and 2.0/6 in AD18-49):

Building on its lead-in at 9:00 p.m., ABC's annual encore of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" took second to NBC's "The Voice" among the major networks in Adults 18-49 and held steady with its year-ago telecast on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., which aired out of the debut of "Toy Story that Time Forgot" (2.0/6 vs. 2.1/6 on 12/2/14). In addition, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" was up year to year in Total Viewers (+7% - 7.3 million vs. 6.8 million) to deliver its most watched airing since November 2012 - since 11/28/12.

  • Like its lead-in, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" dominated its time slot with Kids 2-11 at a near 3-year high for ABC in the hour - since 12/31/12.

"The Great Holiday Baking Show" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.4 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49):

At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "The Great Holiday Baking Show" premiere took second in the hour with Adults 18-49 (1.2/4), matching a season high in the time slot.

Tuesday

"The Muppets" (8:00-8:30 p.m. - 3.8 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49):

At 8:00 p.m. against NBC's "The Voice" and CBS' "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," ABC freshman "The Muppets" returned from the prior week's preemption to defeat its freshman comedy competition in the slot, beating Fox's "Grandfathered" by 22% in Adults 18-49 (1.1/4 vs. 0.9/3). "The Muppets" was steady with its last telecast in Total Viewers (3.8 million vs. 3.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.1/4 vs. 1.2/4).

  • Including TV Playback (Most Current season-to-date ratings through 10 weeks), "The Muppets" is boosting its slot for ABC by nearly 1 rating point in Adults 18-49 (2.3/8 vs. 1.5/5).

"Fresh Off the Boat" (8:30-9:00 p.m. - 3.7 million and 1.3/4 in AD18-49):

Building on its lead-in at 8:30 p.m. (+18%), ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat" nearly doubled its FOX comedy competition in the slot, leading "The Grinder" by 86% in Adults 18-49 (1.3/4 vs. 0.7/2). "Fresh Off the Boat" returned from the prior week's preemption steady with its most recent telecast in Adults 18-49 (1.3/4 vs. 1.4/5).

  • Including TV playback (Most Current season-to-date ratings through 10 weeks), "Fresh Off the Boat" is growing its half-hour by 75% in Adults 18-49 for ABC over the same point last season.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 3.8 million and 1.3/4 in AD18-49):

At 9:00 p.m., ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returned up after the prior week's preemption with its 2nd-consecutive telecast of growth in Total Viewers (+6% - 3.8 million vs. 3.6 million) and held even with Adults 18-49 (1.3/4).

Live + 3 for last telecast (11/17/15): Growing to a 2.2 rating in Adults 18-49 after 3 days of TV playback, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." grew over its week-earlier L+3 rating by 5% and moved ahead of CBS' "NCIS: New Orleans" (2.1 rating) to lead by 5% in the 9:00 p.m. hour. With a +69% jump over its L+SD Adult 18-49 rating, "S.H.I.E.L.D." posted a new playback season high and was Tuesday's biggest gainer in TV playback on the broadcast networks.

"Shark Tank"-R (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 2.7 million and 0.9/3 in AD18-49):

At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "Shark Tank" encore tied CBS' encore "NCIS: New Orleans" and was up from its most recent telecast in the hour two weeks ago by 29% in Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 0.7/2).

Wednesday

ABC took second on Wednesday to FOX with the fall finale of "Empire" in Adults 18-49 (1.7/5-tie), leading NBC by 13% (1.5/5). From 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's 2-hour comedy block (2.0/6) beat CBS by 11% (1.8/6) and NBC by 33% (1.5/5). Trailing only "Empire," the Net aired 4 of the Top 5 next-highest-rated shows on the night among young adults, with "Modern Family" (2.4/7), "The Middle" (2.0/7), "The Goldbergs" (2.0/7) and "black-ish" (1.6/5).

"The Middle" (8:00-8:30 p.m. - 7.6 million and 2.0/7 in AD18-49):

At 8:00 p.m., ABC's "The Middle" ranked No. 1 in its half-hour in Adults 18-49 (2.0/7), tied with CBS' "Survivor." Opposite increased competition from NBC with its "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" special, "The Middle" held steady with its last original telecast two weeks ago among Adults 18-49. The broad-appealing ABC comedy shot up 18% among Teens 12-17 to a best-since-premiere rating - since 9/23/15. Season to date (Most Current ratings through 10 weeks), "The Middle" is up in Total Viewers (+3%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%).

"The Goldbergs" (8:30-9:00 p.m. - 6.5 million and 2.0/7 in AD18-49):

ABC's "The Goldbergs" finished second in its half-hour among Adults 18-49 (2.0/7), beating NBC's "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" by 25% (1.6/5) and Fox's "Rosewood" by 25% (1.6/5). Season to date, "The Goldbergs" is up over the comparable weeks last season in Adults 18-49 (+3%), tracking as its highest-rated season ever.

"Modern Family" (9:00-9:31 p.m. - 7.4 million and 2.4/7 in AD18-49):

At 9:00 p.m., ABC's "Modern Family" (2.4/7) built on its lead-in by 20% in Adults 18-49 to take second to "Empire" for the night. The ABC comedy dominated NBC's "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" by 60% (1.5/4) and CBS' "Criminal Minds" by 50% (1.6/5) in the half-hour.

"black-ish" (9:31-10:00 p.m. - 5.4 million and 1.6/5 in AD18-49):

Like its lead-in, ABC's "black-ish" ranked second in its slot in Adults 18-49 (1.6/5), leading NBC's "SNL Christmas" by 14% (1.4/4) and CBS' "Criminal Minds" by 7% (1.5/4).

"Nashville" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.2 million and 0.9/3 in AD18-49):

ABC's "Nashville" held steady with its most recent telecast in Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 1.0/4). On its previous telecast (11/18/15), "Nashville" matched the prior week's L+3 playback as its biggest of the season in Adults 18-49, with an +80% jump over its L+SD rating after just 3 days of TV playback.

Thursday

"CMA Country Christmas" (9:00-11:00 p.m. - 5.8 million and 0.9/3 in AD18-49):

Moving from Monday to Thursday this year opposite CBS' NFL game and NBC's "The Wiz Live!" special, ABC's "CMA Country Christmas" improved its 2-hour time slot over the year-ago night by 87% in Total Viewers (5.8 million vs. 3.1 million) and by 13% in Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 0.8/2).

Friday

ABC dominated Friday in Adults 18-49 with a 56% lead over its nearest competition (1.4/5 vs. 0.9/4 for CBS). The Net won all 6 half-hours of the night. It was the Net's 11th Friday in a row this season ranking as No. 1 on the evening or finishing as the non-sports leader in the key young adult sales demo.

  • ABC's lineup returned to all originals and delivered the night's Top 4 TV shows in Adults 18-49 with "Shark Tank" (1.6/6), "Last Man Standing" (1.3/6), "20/20" (1.2/5) and "Dr. Ken" (1.2/5). "Shark Tank" was Friday's No. 1 entertainment series for its 10th-straight original telecast this season.

"Last Man Standing" (8:00-8:31 p.m. - 6.7 million and 1.3/6 in AD18-49):

At 8:00 p.m., "Last Man Standing" won its half-hour in viewers (6.7 million) and young adults (1.3/6). Coming off last week's repeat, "LMS" was up 8% from its most recent telecast to tie a season high in Adults 18-49.

"Dr. Ken" (8:31-9:00 p.m. - 5.3 million and 1.2/5 in AD18-49):

At 8:31 p.m., ABC's "Dr. Ken" won its half-hour among Adults 18-49 (1.2/5). The ABC freshman comedy held even with its most recent original two weeks ago and improved its half-hour by 33% year to year (1.2/5 vs. 0.9/3 for an original "Cristela" on 12/5/14).

"Shark Tank" (9:00-10:01 p.m. - 6.1 million and 1.6/6 in AD18-49):

Jumping from its lead-in at 9:00 p.m., ABC's "Shark Tank" doubled its closest competition in the hour in Adults 18-49 (+100% - 1.6/6 vs. 0.8/3 = NBC's "Grimm"). Coming off last week's repeat, "Shark Tank" returned within 1-tenth of tying the season high of its last original with young adults (1.6/6 vs. 1.7/6).

"20/20" (10:01-11:00 p.m. - 4.9 million and 1.2/5 in AD18-49):

ABC's "20/20" ranked No. 1 in the 10 o'clock hour with Adults 18-49 (1.2/5) and Adults 25-54 (1.7/5), beating NBC's "Dateline" (0.9/4 and 1.3/4) by 33% and 31%, respectively. In fact, "20/20" has defeated NBC's "Dateline" for 5-straight telecasts in Total Viewers and both key Adult demos. "20/20" built week to week in Total Viewers (+4% - 4.9 million vs. 4.7 million), Adults 18-49 (+9% - 1.2/5 vs. 1.1/4) and Adults 25-54 (+21% - 1.7/5 vs. 1.4/4).

Saturday

ABC's "Saturday Night Football" (8:07 p.m.-12:11 a.m. - North Carolina vs. Clemson) grew for the 2nd consecutive week in Total Viewers (+44% - 6.9 million vs. 4.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (+64% - 2.3/9 vs. 1.4/5) to deliver its strongest performance in 8 weeks - since 10/3/15.

Sunday

"Once Upon a Time" (8:16-9:17 p.m. - 4.6 million and 1.3/4 in AD18-49):

The winter finale of ABC's "Once Upon a Time" grew over the prior week by 5% in Total Viewers (4.6 million vs. 4.4 million) and held even among Adults 18-49 (1.3/4).

"Quantico" (10:16-11:16 p.m. - 4.4 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49):

ABC's "Quantico" was up week to week in Total Viewers (+7% - 4.4 million vs. 4.1 million) to match its largest audience in 6 weeks while holding even in Adults 18-49 (1.2/4).

  • Including TV Playback (Most Current season-to-date ratings through 10 weeks), "Quantico" is boosting its slot for ABC over "Revenge" by 29% in Total Viewers (9.4 million vs. 7.2 million) and 43% in Adults 18-49 (3.0/9 vs. 2.1/6).

"Quantico" Impresses in Live + 3 Day: For 4-straight telecasts, "Quantico" has delivered triple-digit L+3 spikes in Adults 18-49 over its L+SD rating. The new ABC drama now holds the season's Top 5 biggest L+3 lifts on the major networks with Adults 18-49 and the Top 7 in Total Viewers. Last week's telecast of "Quantico" moved ahead of an NFL-fueled "Madam Secretary" among Adults 18-49 in the L+3 numbers to rank as Sunday's No. 1 entertainment broadcast by a 50% margin (2.4 rating vs. 1.6 rating) after trailing by -8% in L+SD.
