As of this afternoon, ABC has begun handing out early renewals for the 2016-17 television season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Channing Dungey, ABC entertainment's new president, has taken the initiative in handing out pickups for the network's new and proven hits, including FBI drama QUANTICO, comedies THE GOLDBERGS and FRESH OFF THE BOAT, and long-running ONCE UPON A TIME.
Update: The network has now also renewed all Shondaland dramas (GREY'S ANATOMY, SCANDAL and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER,) comedies MODERN FAMILY, BLACK-ISH, and THE MIDDLE, plus Marvel's AGENTS OF SHIELD. On the unscripted side, the network has renewed SHARK TANK, THE BACHELOR, DANCING WITH THE STARS, and AMERICAN'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS.
Series yet to receive a pick-up are CASTLE, Marvel's AGENT CARTER, NASHVILLE, LAST MAN STANDING and DR. KEN.
About Quantico:
