After back-to-back weeks of record breaking numbers, ABC has renewed "Castle" for a third season of 22 episodes.
The drama joins previous 2010-11 pickups "Brothers & Sisters," "Cougar Town," "The Middle" and "Modern Family."
"Castle" opened its sophomore season with a 13-episode order, landing a full season of 22 episodes a month later. The Alphabet subsequently upped that commitment to 24 episodes back in January.
"Dancing With the Stars" will continue to serve as its lead-in next week, after which midseason comedy "Romantically Challenged" will fill in the Monday, 9:30/8:30c half-hour.
