"Dancing with the Stars" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 10.1 million and 1.5/6 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" finished as Monday's most watched TV series for the 4th week running, outdrawing NBC's "The Voice" in the 2-hour slot (10.1 million vs. 9.8 million). "Dancing" narrowed its margin with "The Voice" as the No. 2 TV show of the night in Adults 18-49 (1.5/6 vs. 2.0/8), closing the gap by 2-tenths week to week (-0.5 difference vs. -0.7 difference last week). "Dancing" remained even week to week while "The Voice" declined 2-tenths.
"Quantico" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 2.9 million and 0.6/2 in AD18-49):
At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "Quantico" held even week to week in L+SD Adults 18-49 (0.6/2). "Quantico" ties ABC's "Designated Survivor" as the season's No. 1 biggest gainer in TV playback among the major networks in Adults 18-49, shooting up by +129% in Live + 7 Day over its L+SD average.
Tuesday
ABC ranked No. 1 on Tuesday in Adults 18-49 (1.0/4 - 3-way tie with NBC and Fox).
At 8:00 p.m., ABC's "The Middle" ranked as Tuesday's No. 1 comedy in Adults 18-49 (1.3/5) and was the No. 2 TV show on the night, behind only NBC's "The Voice" (from 8:00-9:00 p.m.)
At 8:30 p.m., ABC's "American Housewife" took 2nd to NBC's "The Voice" and beat its comedy competition in the half-hour by 38% in Adults 18-49 (1.1/4 vs. 0.8/3 for Fox's "The Mick").
At 9:00 p.m., ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat" ranked No. 1 in its half-hour in Adults 18-49 over NBC's "The Voice"-led "Trial & Error" (+22% - 1.1/4 vs. 0.9/3) and held even week to week.
At 9:30 p.m., ABC's "Imaginary Mary" came within 1-tenth of its week-earlier premiere in the half-hour with Adults 18-49 and tied NBC's "Trial & Error" for 2nd place in the slot among the broadcasters (0.8/3).
At 10:00 p.m., "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." ranked No. 1 in its hour among Adults 18-49(0.7/3-tie) and remained even with last week's return. Gaining viewers week to week (+5% - 2.3 million vs. 2.2 million), "S.H.I.E.L.D." marked its most watched telecast since its January mid-season premiere- since 1/10/17.
Wednesday
"Designated Survivor" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.8 million and 0.9/4 in AD18-49):
Airing out of ABC's repeat Wednesday comedies from 8:00-10:00 p.m., "Designated Survivor" built on its lead-in by 13% and won the 10 o'clock hour in Adults 18-49 (0.9/4).
Season to date, "Designated Survivor" has improved Wednesday's 10:00 p.m. hour for ABC by 95% in Total Viewers (12.5 million vs. 6.4 million) and by 67% in Adults 18-49 (3.0/11 vs. 1.8/6), qualifying as the Net's most watched series in the time slot in 10 years - since "Lost" in the 2006-07 season.
"Designated Survivor" is the 2016-17 season's No. 1 biggest gainer in TV playback with Adults 18-49 on the major networks, spiking by +86% in L+3 and by +136% in L+7. In addition, the ABC freshman drama is also the biggest beneficiary of Live + 7 Day TV Playback in Total Viewers, more than doubling its overall audience (+103%) and drawing an additional +6.6 million viewers on top of its L+SD number.
Thursday
ABC ranked No. 1 on Thursday in Adults 18-49 (1.3/5-tied w/CBS), beating NBC by 63% (0.8/3) and FOX by 86% (0.7/3). Please note: On the Thursday leading into the Easter-holiday weekend, overall Adult 18-49 TV usage levels were down week to week (-4%) and from the year-ago Thursday (-11%). And despite declining viewing levels, "Grey's Anatomy" (+6%) and "Scandal"'s 100th episode (+8%) were up week to week, while "The Catch" held exactly even with young adults.
At 8:00 p.m., ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" was the No. 2 TV show of the night in Adults 18-49 (1.8/8), behind only CBS' "The Big Bang Theory," and tied TV's top-rated comedy as Thursday's No. 1 show in Adults 18-34.
At 9:00 p.m., the 100th episode of ABC's "Scandal" won its hourin Adults 18-49 (1.3/5), beating CBS' comedies by 8% (1.2/5 for "Mom"/"Life in Pieces"), NBC's "Chicago Med" by 18% (1.1/4) and Fox's "Kicking & Screaming" by 160% (0.5/2). "Scandal" grew week to week by 4% in Total Viewers (5.3 million vs. 5.1 million) and 8% in Adults 18-49 (1.3/5 vs. 1.2/5).
At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "The Catch" remained even with the prior week and ran neck-and-neck for No. 1 in the hour with CBS' "The Amazing Race" among Adults 18-49 (pacing within 1-tenth of a rating point and tied in audience share - 0.7/3 vs. 0.8/3).
Friday
ABC ranked No. 1 on Friday with Adults 18-49 (0.9/4-tied w/CBS) with "Shark Tank" finishing as the night's No. 1 TV show and "20/20" as the No. 1 newsmagazine. It was the Net's 2nd consecutive evening at No. 1 in the key sales demo.
From 8:00-9:00 p.m., ABC's "The Toy Box" finished just out of a tie for first place with CBS' "MacGyver" in Adults 18-49 (0.7/3 vs. 0.8/4) and ranked No. 1 in the slot with Women 18-34(tie). In addition, "The Toy Box" came within 1-tenth of its week-ago series debut in Adults 18-49, retained 100% in Adults 18-34 and grew 20% over its premiere in Women 18-34.
At 9:00 p.m., ABC's "Shark Tank" qualified as Friday's No. 1 TV show for its 9th straight original telecast with Adults 18-49 (1.1/5). In fact, "Shark Tank" more than tripled Fox's unscripted offering in the hour, beating "You the Jury" by 267% in Adults 18-49 (1.1/5 vs. 0.3/1).
In the 10:00 p.m. hour, ABC's "20/20" beat out NBC's "Dateline" head to head in Adults 18-49 (+13% - 0.9/4 vs. 0.8/4) and grew 13% to deliver a 5-week high- since 2/24/17. "20/20" spoke with a woman who served time for catfishing NBA star Chris "Birdman" Andersen and young women.
