ABC Family Remains Top Cable Network for Women 18-34

Powered by its largest portfolio of original programming in the network's history, including the week's #1 cable TV series "Pretty Little Liars," ABC Family ranked as cable TV's #1 network in Prime in Women 18-34 (253,000/0.7 rating), solid #2 in Females 12-34 (426,000/0.9 rating), and achieved Top 5 ranks in Adults 18-34 (#4 - 317,000/0.5 rating), Women 18-49 (#3 - 382,000/0.6 rating) and Viewers 12-34 (#5 - 512,000/0.6 rating). Moreover, this week stood as ABC Family's most-watched week in nearly 3 months in Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, Viewers 12-34 and Females 12-34 - since week of 3/18/13 - and hit an 18-week high in Female Teens (173,000/1.5 rating).

Driven by "Pretty Little Liars," the week's 'most-tweeted' TV series, ABC Family emerged as the #1 'most social' cable TV network with 1.849 million tweets, over 1 million more than #2, MTV (826,162).

Among target female Millennials, led by "Pretty Little Liars - TV's #1 scripted telecast - ABC Family's delivered 3 of the week's Top 5 scripted basic cable TV series in Prime: #1 "Pretty Little Liars" (1.9 million/4.1 rating), #2 "Twisted" (901,000/2.0 rating) and #5 "The Fosters" (798,000/1.7 rating).

Tuesday's summer launch of social media powerhouse "Pretty Little Liars" (8:00 - 9:00 p.m.) stood as the week's #1 scripted TV telecast in Women 18-34 (1.1 million/3.2 rating), Viewers 12-34 (2.11 million/2.3 rating) and Females 12-34 (1.9 million/4.1 rating) - #1 cable TV telecast overall - and was the #1 scripted basic cable TV telecast in Adults 18-34 (1.3 million/1.9 rating) and Women 18-49 (1.3 million/2.1 rating).

"Pretty Little Liars" was easily the week's #1 'most tweeted' TV series with more than 1.6 million tweets by over 604,000 unique contributors. Of note, during its Winter 2013 season, "Pretty Little Liars" was the 'most social' TV series each Tuesday.

Based on L+3 ratings, "Pretty Little Liars" surged to an impressive 4.2 million Total Viewers (+40%, vs. 3.0 million, L+SD) and to 3.0 million Viewers 12-34 (+43%, vs. 2.1 million).

Tuesday's series launch of "Twisted" (9:00 - 10:00 p.m.) became ABC Family's most-watched drama series launch in two years - since "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" - in Adults 18-34 (510,000/0.8 rating), Women 18-34 (435,000/1.3 rating), Viewers 12-34 (996,000/1.1 rating) and Females 12-34 (901,000/2.0 rating), ranking as cable TV's #1 telecast in The Hour in key Millennials.

"The Fosters" (Mondays, 9:00 - 10:00 p.m.) spiked by solid margins over its series launch in key demos, including by 20% in Total Viewers (1.70 million vs. 1.42 million), by 8% in Adults 18-34 (480,000 vs. 445,000), by 10% in Adults 18-49 (781,000 vs. 711,000), by 36% in Viewers 12-34 (977,000 vs. 719,000) and by 25% in Females 12-34 (798,000 vs. 636,000).
