'Jimmy Kimmel Live' Skyrockets to Its Most Watched Week Since Thanksgiving and Scores a 10-Week High in Adults 18-49
'Nightline' Wins the Week Versus Its CBS and NBC Competition in Total Viewers

With its late-night lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m. during the week of May 23, 2016, ABC shot up week to week by 23% in Total Viewers (2.175 million vs. 1.774 million) to a 6-month high and by 22% in Adults 18-49 (613,000 vs. 504,000) to a 10-week high - since the weeks of 11/23/15 and 3/14/16, respectively.
ABC ranked as the week's No. 1 network in late-night in Total Viewers, outdrawing runner-up NBC by 7% (2.037 million). ABC dominated CBS by its biggest margins this season in both Viewers (+41% - 1.548 million) and Adults 18-49 (+41% - 434,000).
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" (M-F, 11:35 p.m.)
During the week of May 23, 2016, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" soared to its most watched week (2.470 million) since Thanksgiving week in November and its best performance with Adults 18-49 (684,000) in 10 weeks - since the weeks of 11/23/15 and 3/14/16, respectively. "Kimmel" spiked over the prior week (1.965 million and 564,000, respectively, on w/o 5/16/16) by double digits in Total Viewers (+26%) and Adults 18-49 (+21%).
ABC's "Kimmel" outdelivered CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" by its largest margin yet among Adults 18-49 (+30% - 684,000 vs. 528,000), topping the CBS late-night program on all 5 days of the week. "Kimmel" also topped "Colbert" in Total Viewers (+19% - 2.470 million vs. 2.071 million) and Adults 18-34 (+14% - 199,000 vs. 175,000) and ranked as the week's No. 2 late-night talk show in Viewers and key Adults (AD18-34/AD18-49), behind only NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

ABC's "Nightline" ranked No. 1 versus its CBS and NBC competition in Total Viewers (1.602 million) during the week of May 23, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.056 million) by 546,000 and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.473 million) by 129,000.
In addition, "Nightline" led the CBS program in Adults 25-54 (+155,000 - 573,000 vs. 418,000) and Adults 18-49 (+129,000 - 475,000 vs. 346,000).
"Nightline" delivered double-digit gains week to week (1.405 million, 495,000 and 388,000, respectively, on w/o 5/16/16) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+14%), Adults 25-54 (+16%) and Adults 18-49 (+22%). In fact, "Nightline" scored its top Total Viewer performance in 6 months and best in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 in 2 months - since weeks of 11/23/15 and 3/14/16, respectively.
For the 2nd time in the last 3 weeks, "Nightline" improved on the same week last year in Total Viewers (+14% - 1.602 million vs. 1.410 million on w/o 5/25/15).
"Nightline" held the Top 3 12:35 a.m. telecasts of the week in Total Viewers with its Tuesday (1.750 million - 5/24/16), Wednesday (1.672 million - 5/25/16), and Monday (1.603 million - 5/23/16) airings, respectively, outdrawing every telecast of the week of CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
