A Guide to Broadway Guest Stars on BLUE BLOODS

Since its premiere in 2010, Blue Bloods has had an extensive lineup of Broadway talent guest starring in various roles.

Blue Bloods is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement.

While the series' recurring cast includes Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Donnie Wahlberg, and more, guest stars have included Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, Joanna Gleason, Jessie Mueller, Adrienne Warren, Jinkx Monsoon, Norm Lewis, Norbert Leo Butz, and more.

Mark Linn-Baker (Carlton Miller)

Bebe Neuwirth (Kelly Peterson)

Neuwirth made her Broadway debut in the role of Sheila in A Chorus Line in 1980. She has been featured in revivals of Little Me (1982) Sweet Charity (1986), for which she received a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, and Damn Yankees (1994). It was with the 1996 revival of Chicago, in which she starred as showgirl and killer Velma Kelly, that she gained her greatest stage recognition. She has returned to Chicago as Roxie and as Matron Mama Morton and was seen in The Addams Family.

Leigh Ann Larkin (Megan Carson)

Leigh Ann Larkin has been seen on Broadway as Dainty June in the 2008 revival of Gypsy and as Petra in the 2009 production of A Little Night Music.

LaTanya Richardson Jackson (Lt. Dee Ann Carver)

LaTanya Richardson Jackson recently directed the Broadway revival of August Wilson's The Piano Lesson. Jackson's extensive theatre credits include To Kill A Mockingbird (Calpurnia), A Raisin in the Sun (Tony Award nomination, Drama League Award nomination); Joe Turner's Come and Gone; The Taming of the Shrew, for colored girls..., Spell #7, Casanova, and Unfinished Women (Public Theater); Stop Reset (Signature Theatre); and more.

Quentin Earl Darrington (Pastor Isaiah Clay)

Currently seen as Joseph Jackson/Rob in MJ the Musical, Quentin Earl has also been on Broadway as Agwe in the Tony Award-winning revival of Once On This Island for which he earned a Grammy Award nomination. He made his Broadway debut in the Tony nominated revival of Ragtime, starring as Coalhouse Walker Jr. and was also seen as Old Deuteronomy in the Broadway revival of CATS. Ann Harada (IAB Lieutenant Sloan)

Ann Harada is best known for Avenue Q (Christmas Eve) on Broadway and in London's West End. Other Bway: Cinderella (Charlotte), Les Misérables (Madame Thénardier), 9 to 5, Seussical, and M. Butterfly. She was recently seen on stage as Jack's Mother in Into the Woods and on screen in Schmigadoon!

Bobby Cannavale (Charles Rosselini)

Bobby Cannavale was seen on Broadway in The Lifespan of a Fact. Other theater includes The Hairy Ape ( Drama Desk nomination),The Big Knife, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Motherf-er With The Hat (Tony nomination, Drama Desk Award), Mauritius (Tony nomination), HurlyBurly, F-ing A, and The Gingerbread House. He is a member of the Labyrinth Theater Company.

Whoopi Goldberg (NYC councilwoman Regina Thomas)

Whoopi has produced theatrical productions on Broadway and around the world, including the Tony Award-winning "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and the Tony-nominated "Sister Act: The Musical." Whoopi's Broadway credits include "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" and "Xanadu" and she made her West End stage debut in a special limited run as Mother Superior in "Sister Act: The Musical" in 2011.

Nick Cordero (Victor Lugo)

Nick Cordero was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in the Broadway production of Bullets over Broadway. He also originated roles on Broadway in Waitress as well as A Bronx Tale. He made his Broadway debut in Rock of Ages. Nick's off-Broadway credits include the original productions of Nice Girl, Brooklynite, and The Toxic Avenger Musical. He tragically passed away in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Sami Gayle (Nicky Reagan-Boyle)

Sami Gayle can currently be seen as Adele in Bad Cinderella on Broadway. She began her acting career as Baby June in the most recent Broadway revival of Gypsy. She also played Annie Who in Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Mara Davi (Bianca Sanfino)

Mara Davi has appeared on Broadway in The Play That Goes Wrong, Dames at Sea (Astaire Nomination), Irving Berlin's White Christmas, The Drowsy Chaperone, and the Original Revival Cast of A Chorus Line. Other New York credits include Death Takes A Holiday with the Roundabout Theatre Company, No, No, Nanette and Of Thee I Sing with City Center Encores!

Ashlie Atkinson (Sandra Colby)

Ashlie Atkinson made her Broadway debut in the 2005 benefit production of the 24 Hour Plays. She was later seen as Vivian Proclo in Roundabout's revival of The Ritz.

Christine Ebersole (Lena Janko)

Christine Ebersole received virtually every Off-Broadway award and her second Tony for her dual 'role of a lifetime' in Grey Gardens. Kelli O'Hara (Lisa Farragaut)

Most recently seen on Broadway in Kiss Me, Kate!, O'Hara won a Tony award for her performance in the King and I. O'Hara was also seen on Broadway in Follies, The Pajama Game, The Bridges of Madison County, Nice Work if You Can Get It, South Pacific, and The Light in the Piazza.

Cady Huffman (Sheila Gormley)

Huffman first came to Broadway as a replacement cast member in the hit musical La Cage aux Folles (1985), and was quickly cast in Bob Fosse's Big Deal, to be followed by a Tony-Award nomination for her performance in The Will Rogers Follies (1991). In 2001, she played the role of Ulla in the original cast of the Broadway musical The Producers, by Mel Brooks. Huffman received the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for the role.

Joanna Gleason (Grace Newhouse)

In 1988 Joanna won the Tony as Best Actress for her role as the Baker's Wife in Sondheim's "Into the Woods." She also won a Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award for the same performance. She received another Tony nomination and a Drama Desk nomination for her work in "Joe Egg." Joanna won a Theater World Award for "The Real Thing," and another Drama Desk award for "Social Security."

Andrea Burns (Deborah Moss/Mitchell's Lawyer)

Burns is familiar to Broadway audiences for her numerous stage credits, including "In the Heights", "On Your Feet!", "The Nance" and "Songs for a New World." She has also been seen in "The Ritz," "Beauty & the Beast," and more.

Bill Irwin (Cardinal Brennan)

Bill Irwin is an actor, director, writer, and clown. His original works include The Regard of Flight, Largely New York, Fool Moon, Old Hats, and others. His theatre credits include Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?; The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?; Waiting for Godot; Endgame; and On Beckett.

Ali Stroker (Detective Allison Mulaney)

Groundbreaking performer Ali Stroker made history as the first actress in a wheelchair to appear on Broadway when she originated the role of 'Anna' in Deaf West's acclaimed 2015 revival of Spring Awakening. She continues her extraordinary career starring as 'Ado Annie' in this fall's production of Oklahoma at St. Ann's Warehouse under the direction of Daniel Fish.

Ramin Karimloo (Barry Hamidi)

Karimloo can currently be seen as Nick Arnstein in Funny Girl on Broadway. He is also known to American audiences in his critically acclaimed portrayal of 'Jean Valjean' in the Broadway revival of Les Misérables for which he was nominated for the 2014 Tony Award for Leading Actor in a Musical. Karimloo originated the role of Gleb in Anastasia.

Adrienne Warren (Rachel Manning)

Adrienne Warren made her West End debut in the World Premiere of Tina - The Tina Turner Musical in the title role of Tina Turner (Evening Standard & WhatsOnStage Award Nominations). She was last seen on Broadway in Shuffle Along as Gertrude Saunders / Florence Mills, for which she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical. She originated the role of Danielle in the Tony-nominated Bring It On: The Musical on Broadway. She was also seen at the Apollo Theater as Lorrell in Dreamgirls, followed by the national tour. She will be seen starring in the upcoming Broadway production of Room this Spring.

Josh Segarra (Mike Rose)

Josh Segarra originated the role of Emilio Estefan in the musical On Your Feet! and as Mick in Lysistrata Jones.

Craig Bierko (Ray Cross)

For his role in The Music Man (dir. Susan Stroman), Bierko was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical and won the 2000 Theatre World Award. He was also seen as Miss Trunchbull in Matilda the Musical and as Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls.

Michael O'Keefe (Lt. Tim Harrison)

Michael O'Keefe has been seen on Broadway in Luv, Fifth of July, Mass Appeal, Side Man, and Reckless.

Austin Lysy (Howard Markham)

Austin Lysy was seen on Broadway as Donalbain and Siward in the 2000 production of Macbeth.

Jinkx Monsoon (Dennis/Tallulah)

Jinkx Monsoon can currently be seen on Broadway as the first drag queen to play the role of Matron "Mama" Morton in Chicago.

Will Chase (William Flood)

Chase played Chris in the 2nd National Tour of Miss Saigon. He first performed on Broadway in 1998 as the Squeegee Man and Roger understudy in Rent; he also starred as the last Roger in the final Broadway company of Rent. His additional Broadway credits include Miss Saigon; The Full Monty, as Jerry Lukowski replacement (2001); Lennon (2005); Aida (Radames replacement, 2003-04); and Tony in Billy Elliot the Musical. James Snyder (Billy Coffin)

Roe Hartrampf (Bryan Parker)

Roe Hartrampf made his Broadway debut in Diana, starring as "Prince Charles" under the direction of Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley. He is reprised his role from La Jolla Playhouse's pre-Broadway production. He previously appeared Off-Broadway in Second Stage's production of The Bad Guys and Nobody Loves You opposite Rory O'Malley and Leslie Kritzer.

Olga Merediz (Inez)

Olga Merediz was nominated for a 2008 Tony Award for her work in In the Heights, a part she reprised in the 2020 film version. Other B'way: Mamma Mia! (Rosie), Reckless (Trish), Man of La Mancha, Les Misérables, The Human Comedy.

Billy Magnussen (Rand Hillbert)

Magnussen was seen on Broadway as an understudy in The Ritz and in the Broadway transfer of Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.

Corbin Bleu (Officer Blake)

Corbin was most recently seen on Broadway as Lucentio/Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me, Kate and as Ted Hanover in Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn. Priscilla Lopez (Mrs. Fernandez)

Theo Stockman (Timothy Abbey)

Theo Stockman has appeared on Broadway in the original casts of American Psycho, Green Day's American Idiot and The Public's revival of HAIR. Off-Broadway he starred in the world premiere of David Rabe's An Early History of Fire (The New Group).

Jayne Houdyshell (Roseanne Galeki)

Jayne Houdyshell began her acting career performing a wide range of plays in regional theaters across the country. In 2016, she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her work in The Humans. She has also been seen on Broadway in The Music Man, A Doll's House Part 2, Fish in the Dark, Romeo and Juliet, Dead Accounts, Follies, The Importance of Being Earnest, Bye Bye Birdie, Wicked, and more.

Aaron Lazar (Dr. Levin)

Meghann Fahy (Lacey Chambers)

During the summer of 2008, Fahy attended open calls and was cast as the standby for Jennifer Damiano as Natalie Goodman in Arena Stage's production of Next to Normal in late 2008. She remained with the cast during its transfer to the Booth Theatre on Broadway. She eventually took over the role and played until until the show's closing.

Jessie Mueller (Faith Madson)

Norbert Leo Butz (Detective Kramer)

Norbert Leo Butz is a two-time Tony Award winner for Best Actor in a Musical and is one of only nine actors ever to have won the award twice as lead actor. He first won for his work in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and won again for his work in Catch Me If You Can. He was additionally nominated for a Tony for his work in Thou Shalt Not and My Fair Lady. Norm Lewis (DA James Campbell)

Lewis recently appeared in the Broadway revival of Once on This Island and as Sweeney Todd in the Off-Broadway production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at the Barrow Street Theatre. Kelli Barrett (Maryann Russell)

Derek Klena (Cormac Phillips)

Derek first broke onto the NYC theatre scene in the 2012 Off-Broadway revival of Carrie, where he was picked by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul to originate the lead role of Eddie Birdlace in Dogfight. He then made his Broadway debut as Fiyero in 10th Anniversary Company of Wicked and followed that up by originating the role of Michael in Jason Robert Brown's The Bridges of Madison County.

Kate Rockwell (Claire Gilmore)

Kate Rockwell played Karen Smith in the 2018 musical, Mean Girls, for the latter of which she received Drama Desk Award and Helen Hayes Award nominations. Other Broadway credits include Bring It On: The Musical (Skylar, OBC); Rock of Ages (Sherrie); Legally Blonde (Margot); and Hair.

Brandon Uranowitz (Michael Goldman)

Recently seen in Leopoldstadt, Brandon Uranowitz is a 2019 Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee for his performance as Larry in the Broadway revival of Lanford Wilson's Burn This. Brandon also recently appeared as Leon Czolgosz in the 2021 off-Broadway revival of Assassins at CSC, directed by John Doyle. He previously received Tony Award nominations for his performances in An American in Paris and Falsettos. Other Broadway credits include The Band's Visit, Prince of Broadway, and Baby, It's You!.

Alice Ripley

Alice Ripley is a consummate Broadway star in addition to a versatile actor in film and television and a distinguished singer-songwriter. Her work as Diana in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Next to Normal garnered her a Tony Award for "Best Actress in a Musical." She was nominated for both a Drama Desk and a Tony for her brilliant work in the short lived but legendary Side Show, and she's created unforgettable original performances in such Broadway hits as The Who's Tommy, Sunset Boulevard, The Rocky Horror Show, and American Psycho.

Tituss Burgess (Priest)

Erin Mackey (Rachel)

From 2006 until 2010, Mackey played the role of Glinda in various productions of the musical Wicked. After Wicked, she starred in the new Broadway musical Sondheim on Sondheim. Mackey played Hope Harcourt in the Broadway revival of Anything Goes. She starred as Mary Catlett in the world premiere of the musical, Amazing Grace from October to November 2014 playing a role she would later reprise on Broadway. From November 2016 through April 2017, Mackey starred on Broadway in the a cappella musical In Transit.

Uzo Aduba (Nurse)

On stage, Aduba made her Broadway debut in Coram Boy in 2007, followed by the hit musical revival of Godspell in 2011. A graduate of Boston University School of Fine Arts, Aduba appeared at Boston's Huntington Theatre and A.R.T. where she received the Elliot Norton Award for Best Actress in a Play. She made her West End Theatre debut in Jean Genet's The Maids, directed by Jamie Lloyd and co-starring Laura Carmichael and Zawe Ashton. Aduba was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Play for her work in the Kennedy Center/Olney Theater production of Translations of Xhosa. Other theater credits include Dessa Rose at the New Repertory Theatre, Turnado: Rumble for the Ring at the Bay Street Theater, and Abyssinia at the Goodspeed Theatre. Aduba also appeared in the NBC Live production of The Wiz, which also featured Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Amber Riley, and David Alan Grier. She was most recently seen on Broadway in Clyde's.
