Rob Reiner's 1992 legal drama A Few Good Men makes its Reel 13 debut on THIRTEEN in June.
The star-studded film, led by Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore, was adapted for screen by Aaron Sorkin from his stage play. The film was critically acclaimed and nominated for four Academy Awards and five Golden Globes. It has also been recognized by AFI's 100 Years, most notably for Nicholson's reading of the quotation "You can't handle the truth!" which was voted the 29th greatest film quote of all time.
The Barefoot Contessa, Main Street and All That I Am are among the month's other offerings.
The series is pre-empted on Saturday, June 6 and Saturday, June 13 for special pledge programming. Every Saturday night beginning at 9 p.m., viewers can catch a Hollywood Classic followed by an Indie, both hosted by Columbia University professor Richard Peña. The evening concludes with a Short film selected by viewers who vote for their favorite of three shorts at Reel13.org.
