The MNF game ranked as the top telecast of the night across cable and broadcast in those same categories.
The 49ers-Redskins telecast earned an 8.2 US rating, representing an average of 9,534,000 households and 13,159,000 viewers (P2+), according to Nielsen. Coverage peaked from 9:45-10 p.m. ET with a 9.3 US rating.
In San Francisco, the game delivered a 10.1 rating on ESPN and a 12.8 on WPIX-CBS, for a combined 22.9 rating in the market. In Washington D.C., the game delivered a 16.9 rating on ESPN and a 9.1 on WDCA-IND, for a combined 26.0 rating in the market
The top 10 metered markets (in addition to the markets of the competing teams) were Sacramento (19.1), Richmond-Petersburg (18.5), New Orleans (16.0), Las Vegas (15.0), San Diego (14.8), Norfolk (14.2), Seattle-Tacoma (13.9), Baltimore (13.4), Greensboro (12.1) and Phoenix (11.7).
Through 12 weeks (13 games), ESPN's MNF is averaging an 8.4 US rating, 9,776,000 households and 13,344,000 viewers in 2013, increases of four percent versus the same period in 2012.
