CBS News' 48 HOURS: "Picture Perfect - The Trial of Jodi Arias" was Saturday's #1 primetime program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 19, 2013. 48 Hours (10:00-11:00 PM) was first in households (3.8/07), viewers (5.49m), adults 25-54 (1.7/04) and adults 18-49 (1.1/03).

Compared to the same night last year, 48 Hours was up +6% in both households and adults 25-54 and was even in adults 18-49.

Saturday's broadcast featured Maureen Maher's report on the dramatic trial of Jodi Arias, who in 2008 was charged with murdering her boyfriend, Travis Alexander. Shortly after she was arrested, Arias recounted for 48 Hours their illicit sexual relationship and their habit for capturing those trysts with her camera.

Travis Alexander was savagely murdered in his home. First Arias told 48 Hours they were victims of a home invasion and she fled, leaving Alexander behind. However, at trial, her lawyers said she lied and she really killed Alexander in self-defense. Alexander was abusive, Arias told 48 HOURS.

48 HOURS has been on the story for four years. Indeed, the prosecution and the defense both may use the 48 Hours interviews with Arias as evidence in her life-or-death trial. An Arizona jury will soon decide her fate.

"Picture Perfect - The Trial of Jodi Arias" is produced by Josh Gelman and Jonathan Leach. Michael Vele, Joan Adelman, Bob Orozovich, Basil Pappas and Bruce Spiegel are the editors. Al Briganti is the executive editor. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
