300th Episode of CBS's CSI Delivers Largest Audience of the Season

Criminal Minds and the 300th episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation both delivered their largest audiences of the season opposite game one of the World Series, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 23.

At 9:00 PM, Criminal Minds was second in viewers (11.48m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and averaged 2.7/09 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, Criminal Minds was up +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.5/08), even in adults 18-49 and added +420,000 viewers (from 11.06m, +4%). Criminal Minds posted its largest audience since March 20, 2013 and best adults 25-54 ratings since the Sept. 25 season premiere.

At 10:00 PM, the 300th episode of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGTION was second in viewers (10.25m), adults 25-54 (2.9/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06). Compared to last week, CSI was up +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/07), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and added +800,000 viewers (from 9.45m, +8%). CSI posted its largest audience since April 10, 2013 and matched its season high in adults 18-49.

Earlier, SURVIVOR: BLOOD vs. WATER was second in viewers (9.37m), adults 25-54 (3.2/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07).

For the night, CBS was second behind FOX's World Series Game #1 in viewers (10.37m), adults 25-54 (3.3/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07).
