Entertainment Weekly reports that three NBA players have landed guest starring roles on the new FOX comedy series THE MINDY PROJECT. New York Knick's Amar'e Stoudemire, Baron Davis, and the Indiana Pacer's Danny Granger will appear as themselves in the fourth episode of the series.

In the episode, series star Mindy Kaling meets up with the NBA players in the VIP section of a nightclub where she is hanging out with co-workers. The freshman comedy premieres on FOX on September 25th at 9:30 pm/ET.

THE MINDY PROJECT is a biting new single-camera comedy from Emmy Award-nominated writer/producer and New York Times best-selling author Mindy Kaling (“The Office”), that follows a woman who, despite having a successful career, is unlucky in love and desperately needs to get her personal life back on track before her friends and colleagues are forced to stage an intervention.

THE MINDY PROJECT is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment in association with Universal Television. The series is created and written by Mindy Kaling. Kaling, Howard Klein (“The Office,” “Parks and Recreation”), Matt Warburton (THE SIMPSONS) and Michael Spillman (“Modern Family”) are executive producers. Charles McDougall (“The Office,” “Parks and Recreation”) directed the pilot.
