The Screen Actors Guild Awards® and Champagne Taittinger are celebrating a 15-year partnership it was announced today by SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams.
"I'm always so thrilled to see how much the guests at the SAG Awards have enjoyed Taittinger's delicious champagne every year. The Champagne toast opening the SAG Awards red carpet has become an iconic part of the ceremony," said Williams.
Champagne Taittinger is the only Grand Marque Champagne house owned and run by a father, son and daughter team - fifth generation eponymous descendants of the original founding family.
Champagne Taittinger's Global Spokesperson and Artistic Director, Vitalie Taittinger, is looking forward to opening the 21st Annual SAG Awards ceremony.
Of her family's 15 years celebrating actors achievements in film and television, Vitalie Taittinger stated, "Elegance, beauty, and
PASSION define Champagne Taittinger and make the SAG Awards such a dazzling night. My family and I are honored to once again be at the SAG Awards making the official toast to celebrate the phenomenal performances of 2014. We couldn't be more thrilled with this long term partnership supporting the arts and the acting community."
Champagne Taittinger's Brut La Française NV will be served to attending entertainment industry luminaries at the SAG Awards ceremony and the post-awards official Gala co-hosted by PEOPLE and EIF (Entertainment Industry Foundation).
About Champagne Taittinger
Champagne Taittinger is one of the few remaining family owned and operated Champagne houses. The firm is distinguished for its extensive vineyard holdings of 752 acres, including prestigious Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims regions. Unlike most large houses, Champagne Taittinger relies primarily on estate grapes for its portfolio of Champagnes. Also unique are the higher proportion of Chardonnay in its wines that gives Taittinger its signature style, and the time devoted to aging the wines before release - most often greatly exceeding the legal requirement, in a practice that also has become a Taittinger hallmark.
