2018 Olympic team bronze medalist Nathan Chen and 2018 Olympic gold medalist Alina Zagitova of Russia headline NBC Sports Group's coverage of the 2018 ISU World FIGURE SKATING Championships from Milan, Italy, featuring live coverage of every event. Live coverage begins tomorrow, Wednesday, March 21, at 6 a.m. ET with the ladies' short program on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA, and continues throughout the week on NBCSN and Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. In addition, NBC will present a three-hour recap show of the event on Sunday, April 8, at 3 p.m. ET.
Chen, who became the first skater in history to the first to land six quadruple jumps in a free skate in PyeongChang, faces competition from 2018 Olympic silver medalist Shoma Uno of Japan and fourth-place finisher Jin Boyang of China. Zagitova will be joined by 2018 Olympic team bronze medalists Miria Nagasu, the only U.S. woman to land a triple Axel at the Olympics, and Bradie Tennell, 2018 Olympic bronze medalist Kaetlyn Osmond of Canada, as well as four-time Olympian and 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Carolina Kostner of Italy.
Competing for the U.S. in ice dance are reigning national CHAMPIONS Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue and two-time world medalists Madison Chock and Evan Bates. Olympic CHAMPIONS Aliona Savchenko and Bruno Massot of Germany headline the pairs' event, which also features U.S. CHAMPIONS Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Chris Knierim.
Steve Schlanger calls the 2018 World FIGURE SKATING Championships joined by 2011 U.S. champion Ryan Bradley for the ladies' pairs' and men's competitions, and by 2006 ice dance silver medalist Tanith Whitefor the ice dance competition.
White will call the recap show on NBC, joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski, and three-time U.S. FIGURE SKATING champion Johnny Weir.
