2015 NHL THANKSGIVING SHOWDOWN Airs Friday on NBCSN

NBC Sports presents the NHL THANKSGIVING Showdown this Friday at 1 p.m. ET on NBC, as Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers travel to TD Garden to facePatrice Bergeron and the Boston Bruins in a classic Original Six matchup. NBC Sports' Black Friday NHL doubleheader continues on NBCSN at 5 p.m. ET, when Corey Perry and the Anaheim Ducks host Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks in a rematch of the 2015 Western Conference Final.

This week's NHL action starts with an NBCSN coast-to-coast doubleheader on Wednesday night, beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET, when John Tavares and the New York Islanders host Claude Giroux and the Philadelphia Flyers. Coverage heads west at 10 p.m. ET following Flyers-Islanders, when the Blackhawks face Patrick Marleau and the San Jose Sharks. NBC Sports Live Extra - NBC Sports Group's live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets and connected TVs - will stream this week's NHL action.

Three-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play commentator Mike 'Doc' Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member and analyst Eddie Olczyk, and Emmy Award-winning 'Inside-the-Glass' analyst Pierre McGuire will have the call of NBC's THANKSGIVING Showdown featuring the Rangers and Bruins.

NBC Sports' NHL LIVE studio team of host Liam McHugh and analysts Mike Milbury and Keith Jones will anchor pre-game and intermission coverage for Rangers-Bruins on NBC, while Kathryn Tappen, Jones and Brian Boucher will provide studio coverage for Blackhawks-Ducks on NBCSN. Tappen, Boucher andJeremy Roenick will handle Wednesday night's NHL LIVE studio coverage.

MIKE 'DOC' EMRICK PROFILED ON HBO'S REAL SPORTS - TOMORROW AT 10 P.M. ET

Lead NHL on NBC play-by-play broadcaster Mike 'Doc' Emrick will be profiled on REAL SPORTS WITH BRYANT GUMBEL tomorrow night at 10 p.m. ET. In the segment, Real Sports correspondent Andrea Kremer joins Emrick on opening night of the 2015-16 NHL season in Chicago and visits Emrick's home in Michigan.

THANKSGIVING SHOWDOWN - RANGERS-BRUINS - FRIDAY AT 1 P.M. ET ON NBC

The Rangers and the Bruins meet for the first time this season in the THANKSGIVING Showdown to drop the puck on NBC Sports' Black Friday doubleheader. The Rangers enter this week's action with a 15-3-2 record and 32 points, second-most in the Eastern Conference behind Montreal (34). New York has allowed the fewest goals in the NHL (37), and boasts the second-best goal differential in the league (+25). The Blueshirts have been led offensively by Mats Zuccarello, who leads the club in points (21), goals (10) and assists (11).

The Bruins currently sit fifth (10-8-1) in the crowded Atlantic Division, with the second through sixth place teams separated by just five points. Bruins forward David Krejci ranks tied for seventh in the NHL in points (22) heading into this week's slate of games.

BLACKHAWKS-DUCKS - FRIDAY AT 5 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Blackhawks make their first visit to Anaheim on Friday since Game 7 of last season's Western Conference Final, when Jonathan Toews scored twice and Patrick Kane added three assists to send Chicago to the Stanley Cup Final with a 5-3 win. Kane leads the NHL with 32 points (13g/19a) in just 21 games this season, and is currently in the midst of a career-high 16-game points streak (10g/15a). Chicago is in the midst of a six-game road trip, and looks to rebound from a 6-3 loss in Vancouver on Saturday night.

The Ducks have begun to right the ship after a slow start to the 2015 regular season, with a 6-3-2 record in November after just one win in October. The Ducks went 2-2-0 on their recent road trip, and face Calgary tomorrow night at home, where they've posted a 4-1-2 record in their last seven games. Last season, the Blackhawks won four of six games at Honda Center, including two wins in their seven-game Western Conference Final series.

Gord Miller (play-by-play) and Ray Ferraro ('Inside-the-Glass' analyst) will have the call for Blackhawks-Ducks.

FLYERS-ISLANDERS - WEDNESDAY AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Flyers make their first-ever regular-season visit to Barclays Center in Brooklyn to face the Islanders on Wednesday night. Philadelphia has struggled to find the back of the net this season, scoring more than three goals just once in 20 games, and has been shut out in back-to-back contests against San Jose and Ottawa. The Islanders return home to Barclays Center after being swept in a home-and-home series by Montreal last weekend. John Tavares finished second in the NHL in points last year (86), and has recorded eight points (5g/3a) in his past six games.

Jim Jackson (play-by-play), Keith Jones (analyst), and Chris Therien ('Inside-the-Glass' analyst) will provide commentary for Flyers-Islanders.

BLACKHAWKS-SHARKS - WEDNESDAY AT 10 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

San Jose enters its matchup on Wednesday against the Blackhawks as one of the hottest teams in the league, after sweeping a six-game road trip for the first time in franchise history. Sharks forward Patrick Marleau reached the 1,000-point plateau for his career with a two-assist performance in San Jose's 3-1 win in Pittsburgh, and had a goal and an assist in Sunday's 5-3 come-from-behind win in Columbus. Chicago won two of three matchups with San Jose last season, including a 6-2 win in their most recent meeting on March 14.

Randy Hahn (play-by-play) and Jamie Baker ('Inside-the-Glass' analyst) will have the call from SAP Center in San Jose, Calif.
