Fox Sports and Daytona International Speedway have reached a five-year, multi-platform agreement to air the Daytona Supercross by Honda on Fox Sports 1, beginning with live coverage on Saturday, March 8 (7:30PM ET).
The event is race No. 10 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship 17-race season and is contested on the famed tri-oval over a challenging rough and sandy course designed by supercross legend and Fox Sports 1 analyst Ricky Carmichael. "With Fox Sports doing all of the supercross races live this season, locking up Daytona is great for the fans," said Carmichael, who won at Daytona a record five times. "Ralph (Sheheen), Jeff (Emig) and Jenny (Taft) and I have a blast calling the races, and Daytona obviously has special meaning to me, both as a racer and a course designer." "FOX Sports is thrilled to get this deal done with our friends at Daytona International Speedway," said Patrick Crakes, Fox Sports SVP Programming, Research, and Content Strategy. "The agreement solidifies the Fox Sports family of networks as the long-term home of the complete supercross schedule and strengthens our position as the leader in motor sports programming."Videos
