DON GIOVANNI will be presented at the Vienna State Opera, March 5, 2013.

Act I Don Giovanni has gone secretly to the house of the commander to his daughter Donna Anna. In the meantime, his servant Leporello in front of the home guard. Suddenly rushes out Don Giovanni. The Commendatore, Donna Anna to call for help is rushed, and is killed in battle. Too late Donna Anna's fiancé Don Ottavio: He can only afford the oath of vengeance. Don Giovanni is looking for new adventures. He approaches a woman, but must recognize that it is Donna Elvira, an abandoned mistress of him. Don Giovanni recedes and leaves Leporello to explain to the lady that she, as a register shows only one name among many is. Zerlina and Masetto at the wedding occurs on Don Giovanni as a great gentleman. With ease, he is able to charm the young bride. But as a warning appears Donna Elvira. For this time, it manages to deliver her groom Zerlina again.

Don Giovanni joins Donna Anna and Don Ottavio. He drives it so far during the search for the murderer to offer as a helper. Again Donna Elvira intervenes. Only as Donna Anna and Don Ottavio are again alone, recognizes Donna Anna: The man who murdered her father that night, Don Giovanni. Has its revenge a goal. Don Ottavio will do anything to Donna Anna play the peace of mind. Masetto is angry with Zerlina. She manages to appease the angry groom, but not for long, for Don Giovanni has not abandoned his intentions to Zerlina and Masetto provoking a new outburst. To reach the goal of his wishes, Don Giovanni has invited the couple and the wedding party to a feast. Also, three masked figures are prompted by Leporello to participate. Zerlina, which has recently entrusted the seducer, calls for help, they unmask themselves: There are Donna Anna, Donna Elvira and Don Ottavio. Once it succeeds Don Giovanni to escape retribution.

Act II Leporello wants to leave his master, but a bag of gold makes him change his mind. He also gets the same chance to prove himself: Don Giovanni is behind the Donna Elvira's maid ago. To bring her undisturbed serenading can change his clothes with Leporello, Don Giovanni, who must play his master to deceive Donna Elvira. Donna Anna and Don Ottavio, Donna Elvira invade again betrayed and Masetto and Zerlina at him, he reveals himself. In the confusion, he manages to escape. Donna Elvira tries to detach itself inside of Don Giovanni. In front of the tomb of the master and servant Commendatore meet again today. A voice from beyond interrupts Don Giovanni joy: There is a statue on the tomb of the Commendatore speaks to both. Trembling in every limb, while Leporello, Don Giovanni invites the statue to the banquet. The invitation is accepted. Don Ottavio will hasten his marriage to Donna Anna. But she has her love him back under insurance: First was the death of his father to avenge. Don Giovanni at the evening meal enjoys life. A plaque music is played Leporello waits. Since joins Donna Elvira.

In anticipation of coming disaster, they tried again to persuade Don Giovanni to repent, but reaps only scorn. When she leaves the room, she lets out a cry of horror. Leporello, fearful, announces the arrival of the statue. Fearlessly confronts her and Don Giovanni refuses to repent of his sins. And so a handshake sealed the end.
