Vienna State Opera is now presenting live streaming beginning Sunday, October 27, 2013. Viewers will be able to switch between a view of the stage and close-ups with moving cameras. Innovations promised by the year's end will include apps providing subtitles in English, German and Korean and a synchronized score of the work being shown.

Richard Strauss' "Der Rosenkavalier" ("Knight of the Rose.") kicks off the program.

A live stream performance costs 14 euros ($20) and an on-demand stream costs 5 euros, or about $7.
