The Metropolitan Opera will resume performances tomorrow evening, October 31, with a 7:30 pm performance of "The Tempest" by Thomas Ades.
The Tempest, conducted by Ades and directed by Robert Lepage, stars Audrey Luna as Ariel, Isabel Leonard as Miranda, Iestyn Davies as Trinculo, Alek Shrader as Ferdinand, Alan Oke as Caliban, William Burden as the King of Naples, Toby Spence as Antonio, and Simon Keenlyside as Prospero.
Earlier this week, the company canceled performances of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (October 29) and Puccini's Turandot (October 30). Ticket holders for those performances may exchange them for any available performance in the 2012-13 season or receive a refund. The Met will reopen tomorrow, October 31, and ticket exchanges or refunds can be made by mail, e-mail, phone, or in person at the box office beginning tomorrow.
