The Texas Tenors started out as three men with a dream. Once John Hagen, Marcus Collins and JC Fisher debuted their unique blend of country, classical and Broadway on NBC's America's Got Talent in 2010, the dream took shape. Since their appearance on the reality competition show, The Texas Tenors have performed over 800 concerts around the world, including a 24-city tour in the United Kingdom, Shanghai, China and collaborations with some of the most prestigious symphonies, performing arts centers and arenas in the United States. From Alabama to Puccini, the trio presents a family-friendly and interactive show on stage full of music, humor and cowboy charm. The show features The 3 Bottle Band, which includes Tim Lee (keyboard), Larry Hanson (electric guitar/acoustic guitar/mandolin), Ryan Hurn (drums) and Marcus Willett (bass).
Hagen has an extensive background in opera, having performed at the Lincoln Center and created three tenor roles in the world premiere of The Lost Dauphane for Pamiro Opera airing on PBS. He's been described as, "astonishing, a superb tenor of deep musicality." Collins learned to sing by emulating his favorite artists like Garth Brooks, George Michael and Freddie Mercury before training classically in college. He has performed on cruise ships and numerous stage productions including a performance in Times Square with the Broadway cast of Hairspray, Off-Broadway's Altar Boyz and Permission: A Rock Musical, as well as film and television appearances. Fisher had a passion for sports and singing in church before he discovered a deeper love for singing in college. He's performed operatic roles including Rodolfo in La Boheme, Tamino in The Magic Flute and
Ernesto in Don Pasquale, as well as has performed on 75 cruise ships. His background allowed Fisher to create a show featuring many different genres of music and world class arrangements, which eventually led to his idea of forming The Texas Tenors.
The Texas Tenors were named Billboard magazine's No. 10 Classical Artist in the World in 2014. Their 2013 album, You Should Dream, became a Billboard Top 10 album, and they recently won three Rocky Mountain Emmys® for The Texas Tenors: You Should Dream PBS Special. The trio has had a successful run of 60 concerts each year in Branson, Mo., where they were named 2011, 2012 and 2013 Critic's Choice Group of the Year, Best Legacy Group, Branson's Favorite Christmas Show of 2013.
In addition to their tour schedule, The Texas Tenors have been featured entertainers on NBC's The Today Show, Hallmark's Home and Family Show and the 28th Annual Cinematheque Awards honoring Matthew McConaughey. Other notable performances have included NBA games, the PBR World Championships in Las Vegas and a variety of charity events. They help promote organizations such as ChildFund International, Homes For Our Troops and The Mission Project, and they will release a children's book in May.
