Tenor Pasquale Esposito Performs at the Gallo Center in Modesto Tonight

Making his first appearance in Modesto since 2007, Italian tenor Pasquale Esposito will perform in concert at the Gallo Center for the Arts at 8 pm tonight, September 28.

Tickets for the event are $19 to $39, and may be purchased online at GalloArts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto. Groups of 15 people or more receive a 15 percent discount on tickets. For group sales information, call (209) 338-5062.

Accompanied by a band of international musicians, Esposito will present music from his latest double CD release, "Il Tempo," taking the audience on a musical journey of time and highlight some of the songs that have greatly influenced him as an artist. Music selections will span from 1880 to present day, encompassing Broadway, opera, pop opera, and traditional American, Italian, Neapolitan,and Spanish standards.

Italian tenor Pasquale Esposito is honored to perform with his vibrant band of international musicians at the Gallo Center for the Arts. Pasquale will present music from his latest double CD release: IL TEMPO. Pasquale will take his audience on a musical journey of time and highlight some of the songs that have greatly influenced him as an artist over the years. Music will span from 1880 until 2011. Enjoy a taste of Broadway, Opera, Pop-Opera, and traditional American, Italian, Neapolitan, and Spanish standards.

Pasquale returns to the Modesto area after he debuted at The State Theater in 2007 with his "Simply Pasquale" Tour. Prior to that performance he entertained audiences at The Bob Hope Theater in Stockton in 2005 with the Italian musical revue: "Naples ... That's Amore!" which toured throughout the US and Europe between 2005-2007. Pasquale has participated in many fundraising events for the Oakdale Education Foundation, Pacific Italian Alliance, St. Mary's High School's Olive Oil Festival, Del Rio Country Club and the Stockton Country Club. Most recently, he performed at the Faye Spanos Theater for the Pacific Italian Alliance in 2012.

Aside from his local engagements, Pasquale is an an international recording and touring artist. He is originally from Naples, Italy and completed his studies in vocal performance at San Jose State University's School of Music. Throughout Pasquale's training, he emphasized his focus on classical opera as well as pop-opera. Although Pasquale is classically trained, he enjoys performing Italian, Neapolitan, American, and Spanish standards arranged in his distinctive Pop-Opera style. He has released several full length CDs and currently tours both nationally and internationally. Presently, he is recording his first Latin CD that is due for release in 2014.

This fall, he is set to perform in Sorrento, Italy for his first PBS Concert that will air nationally in 2014. In addition, to his performance at the Gallo Center for the Arts, Pasquale will continue his tour with performances in Campbell, CA on October 5 at the Heritage Theater followed by a performance in Rochester, NY at the Kodak Theatre on October 19. In December, he will perform in his 5th Annual Benefit Concert ~ "Pasquale in Canto" at the Menlo Atherton Performing Arts Center on December 14.
