Teatro alla Scala, Bolshoi Theatre and More Set for Emerging Pictures' Fall-Winter 2013 Lineup

Emerging Pictures, North America's largest supplier of alternative content for movie theaters, today announced its Fall-Winter (September through December) 2013 season of "Opera in Cinema" and "Ballet in Cinema" HD presentations, starting on Sunday, September 22, with the Opera Australia production of "Carmen" from Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour.

Special live performances from Milan's Teatro alla Scala and Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre will be season high points. On Sunday, October 20, the Bolshoi production of "Spartacus" will be beamed live from Moscow to audiences across the United States. Similarly, on Saturday, December 7, American audiences will have orchestra seats for La Scala's Opening Night production of "La Traviata" broadcast live from Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

Showing on movie screens in over 300 multiplexes, art houses, museums and performing arts centers throughout the U.S. and Canada, the full Fall-Winter season rolls out as follows:

CARMEN - Sunday, September 22 - Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour - Australia

RIGOLETTO - Sunday, October 6 - Teatro Antico - Taormina, Italy

SPARTACUS - LIVE FROM MOSCOW - Sunday, October 20 - The Bolshoi Ballet

NABUCCO - Sunday, November 3- Teatro alla Scala

LE CORSAIRE - Sunday, November 17 - The Bolshoi Ballet

LA TRAVIATA - OPENING NIGHT LIVE - Saturday, December 7 - Teatro alla Scala

THE SLEEPING BEAUTY - Sunday, December 15 - The Bolshoi Ballet

Some dates and show times may vary across the country depending on city and venue. Some venues will shift to "delayed live" to accommodate the significant time zone variations between Moscow and/or Milan and the U.S., e.g. a live 7 p.m. Moscow performance takes place at11 a.m. in New York and 8 a.m. in Los Angeles.

Emerging Pictures also announced the schedule of Bolshoi Ballet performances for Winter-Spring 2014. All performances will be live from Moscow:
