Classical-crossover soprano, Bárbara Padilla will release "Ave Maria" as her first single for the Christmas season, on November 28th. "Ave Maria," released by Moon Moosic Records, will be available exclusively on iTunes.
Fans first heard Bárbara Padilla perform this beloved traditional song during her competition on "America's Got Talent." Her soaring vocals prompted unanimous praise and a standing ovation from the judges.
Piers Morgan said, "The whole of America is going to remember where they were when they heard you sing that song because tonight, tonight a superstar was born on this show."
"It doesn't matter what one's musical tastes are, because music goes beyond language," said Sharon Osbourne. "I bow down to you, I bow down to you as a survivor, as a woman I adore you."
Bárbara's new recording of Charles Gounod's "Ave Maria" was produced by Manuel Cerda and Moon Moosic Records, at Alamo Estudios in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco (Mexico). It was mixed by Rafa Sardina and mastered by Paul Blakemore, both multi-Grammy-winners. Executive Producers are Bárbara Padilla and Eliezer Flores.
"Ave Maria" follows the August release of Bárbara's self-title debut album. A rich collection of colorful, carefully arranged pieces that reflect Bárbara's diverse musical passions, Bárbara Padilla is a blend of opera, instrumental classical music and contemporary pop. The album was produced by the Grammy-winning team of Gregg Field and Jorge Calandrelli. Renowned late producer Phil Ramone contributed his expertise and shares mixing credits with Gregg Field.
Bárbara Padilla's first live performance of "Ave Maria" will be on December 5th in Houston, Texas at The City of Houston Tree Lighting Celebration. On December 12th, Bárbara will also perform "Ave Maria" as part of Univision's prime time broadcast of "Teleton USA," a national telethon benefiting children's rehabilitation services. Other appearances include a special concert at Prince of Peace church, in Houston, Texas on December 18th.
