Sarasota Opera to Host 2nd Annual 'A Taste of Downtown Food and Wine Festival' on 9/19

On Saturday, September 19th, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, Sarasota Opera will invite the community into the Sarasota Opera House for the 2nd annual A Taste of Downtown Food & Wine Festival as a benefit for the Sarasota Youth Opera program. Last year's sold out event raised over $10,000 for the Sarasota Youth Opera program.

"We were astonished by the success of last year's event which only contributes to the excitement of this year's Festival," says Executive Director Richard Russell. "This event would not be possible without the gracious support of our downtown neighbors and sponsors who donate their time, energy, and delicious food to make this a special afternoon at the opera house."

Attendees will be invited to enjoy culinary treats provided by some of Sarasota's most popular eateries and lounges spread amongst the unique setting of the historic Sarasota Opera House. Each attendee will receive a custom designed wine glass upon check-in. Guests will also be treated to a performance by members of the Sarasota Youth Opera.

Fine wine pairings will be provided by HSW Spirits, Inc. and Belgian beer samples will be provided by Gold Coast Eagle Distributing.
