This week Pinchgut Opera will be in the City Recital Hall; the set by David Fleischer is impressively grand and the rich costumes designed and made by Christie Milton are superb. All is in place! The orchestra has arrived and they're now in the final run of rehearsals before Thursday's opening night.
Check out a sneak peek at the sitzprobe below!
This is the orchestral rehearsal with singers that focuses on the music, not the acting. Here is the Act 1 Trio (excerpt) - Victime infortunée (A victim of evil fate). With Alexandra Oomens (Isabelle) Celeste Lazarenko (Léonore) and Jessica Aszodi (Jacinte) plus the Orchestra of the Antipodes led by Erin Helyard. Don't forget that prior to each of our performances talks will be run by our Chair Liz Nielsen who knows this opera back to front. They will run from 6.15pm on 3, 5 & 8 December and 4.15pm onSunday 6 December at the Level 3 Foyer at the City Recital Hall. Also, student rush tickets will be available as usual from one hour before each performance at the box office. For anyone under 27, we have $30 and $45 tickets! For more information, visit: www.pinchgutopera.com.au
