Pittsburgh Opera Announces Pirates/Yankees Ticket Contest For THE SUMMER KING, 4/23

Pittsburgh Opera is offering ticket holders to The Summer King - the Josh Gibson Story - a chance to see the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the New York Yankees from one of the Pirates Owners' Suites on Sunday, April 23rd.
Cast members from The Summer King will be singing God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch of the Sunday, April 23rd 1:35PMPirates game against the New York Yankees at PNC Park.
Pirates Chairman Bob Nutting, who is also a Pittsburgh Opera Season Ticket holder, has graciously donated one of the Pirates Owners' Suites to Pittsburgh Opera for the game. In addition, the Pirates are donating their proceeds from the games' 50/50 Raffle, presented by Rivers Casino, to Pittsburgh Opera to help provide students with the opportunity to attend a performance of The Summer King.
All people purchasing tickets to The Summer King by Monday, April 17th will be automatically entered into a contest to win two tickets to the game in the Suite as Pittsburgh Opera's guests, where the winner and their guest will be able to mingle with cast members and enjoy the ballgame.

The Summer King is sung in English, and will be performed at the Benedum Center April 29th - May 7th. Tickets start at just $12 and group discounts are available.
Must purchase your ticket to The Summer King by 11:59PM on Monday, April 17th to be entered into Pirates/Yankees tickets contest. Limit one entry per household. One winner will be selected at random on Tuesday, April 18th. Pirates/Yankees tickets are intended for the winner and their guest only- winner will be asked to present identification and agrees not to resell the tickets. Additional restrictions may apply.
