Opera Colorado's new production of Mozart's The Magic Flute opens at the Ellie Caulkins Opera house on May 2, 2015 at 7:30PM. Directed by Daniel Witzke and conducted by Joseph Macavich, this production will feature Maureen McKay as Pamina, Jonathan Boyd as Tamino, Daniel Belcher as Papageno, So Young Park as Queen of the Night, Camille Jasensky as Papagena, Harold Wilson as Sarastro and Joseph Gaines as Monostatos.

Journey into a storybook fantasy with Opera Colorado's new production of The Magic Flute. Telling an adventurous tale in which the characters face the difficult choice between good and evil in order to reach a place of enlightenment that allows them to realize their dreams. Combining traditional sets with video projection technology brings to life this dream world in which fantasy and real life choices collide, offering a fresh, new look at Mozart's classic opera.

This production will be set in the dessert, and will features traditional sets with video projection technology, and costumes with an eastern flair.

This opera will be sung in German with English and Spanish subtitles at every seat.
