Opera Australia Presents MAZDA OPERA IN THE BOWL Tonight

Now that winter has officially been banished, it's time to enjoy balmy summer evenings outside and lap up the city's best cultural events. Mazda Opera in the Bowl presents the perfect opportunity with some of the most-loved opera chorus and arias from four leading soloists, the Opera Australia Chorus and Orchestra Victoria. Best of all, the event is completely free.

With the city skyline as the backdrop, Mazda Opera in the Bowl is a quintessential Melbourne event.

Held tonight, 14 November, the line-up features dazzling soprano Eva Kong, gorgeous mezzo-soprano Anna Dowsley, tender-hearted tenor Diego Torre, and commanding baritone Luke Gabbedy, with Orchestra Victoria conducted by Anthony Legge with the evening's Master of Ceremonies, Christopher Lawrence from ABC Classic FM.

Brought to you once again by Opera Australia's Principal Partner Mazda Australia, which is committed to introducing opera to a wider audience, this free concert celebrates the magic and memorable moments in opera. Staged at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl - one of the country's premier open?air venues - Mazda Opera in the Bowl features some of the greatest arias and most beautiful overtures in a fantastic program of songs and duets that is sure to delight opera aficionados and novices alike.
