Lincoln Center's Boro-Linc program-which brings free performances, workshops, and family-oriented programs by Lincoln Center resident organizations to neighborhoods across New York-announces new partners in Brooklyn and The Bronx.

With these new partners, recent events in Queens, and continuing events in Manhattan and Staten Island this spring, the program realizes its commitment to events in communities in all five boroughs.

This Lincoln Center community engagement and outreach program breaks down geographic barriers and create greater access to its diverse arts and cultural offerings for all audiences and ages.

The first Brooklyn-based partner for Lincoln Center is The Center for Family Life in Sunset Park. Six events are planned between February and July on Friday evenings, featuring the Film Society of Lincoln Center, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Opera Guild, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Boro-Linc launched in 2015 in The Bronx, and returns there in 2016 with two presenting partners: the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture and the Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education (the program's inaugural partner). Programs in the Bronx will take place weekly on Saturdays in April and May, and feature events from the New York Philharmonic, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and an artist alumnae of The Juilliard School. The Boro-Linc programs in The Bronx are part of Lincoln Center Education's partnership with New York City School District 7, and a concentrated commitment and effort to provide greater arts programs and resources to students, parents, educators and the community.

Lincoln Center's Boro-Linc has worked with partners across the city to offer greater access to free arts programs and workshops for families and children. The series began in The Bronx last March at the Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education, followed by events throughout the fall season at the Jamaica Center forArts & Learning in Queens and Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden on Staten Island. Programs at Manhattan's Manny Cantor Center, the flagship building of the Education Alliance, on the Lower East Side began in January 2016. And programs continue at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden in March 2016.

New York City Council Member Annabel Palma, Chair of City Council's Bronx Delegation added, "I am delighted to welcome Lincoln Center's Boro-Linc program back to the Bronx, where it will be doing an encore residency at the Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education, and expanding to the Hostos Center for the Arts and Culture. Bronx residents won't have to travel far this spring to experience the world-class, free performances and workshops that Lincoln Center is well known for. Bravo to Lincoln Center for investing in our communities by bringing these programs to neighborhoods throughout the boroughs, ensuring greater access to the arts for all."

New York City Council Member Carlos Menchaca, who represents Brooklyn, said: "¡Bienvenidos a Sunset Park, Lincoln Center! Our working class families will now get to enjoy Boro-Linc programs which allow our neighbors free and direct access to the arts through performances and workshops happening in their own backyard. I encourage families in the community to take advantage of these free programs and applaud Lincoln Center's efforts in ensuring that all New Yorkers enjoy access to the wealth in arts and culture that this city offers."
