John Holiday to Sub for David Daniels at New York City Opera's Gala Concert, 3/9

John Holiday, countertenor and recent third prize winner at Placido Domingo's Operalia Competition, will substitute for an ailing David Daniels in today's New York City Opera Renaissance: A Celebration of the the life Maestro Julius Rudel, www.nycorenaissance.com/events.php, to be held Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Frederick P. Rose Hall at Jazz Lincoln Center in the Time Warner Center, Broadway & 60th Street. Concert time is 7 p.m.

According to John, David Daniels gave John his blessing and told him "to Werk it out!"

John will sing "Va Tacito: from Giulio Cesare by George Handel. On stage, John will be joining legendary and celebrated artists such as Placido Domingo, Sting, Frederica Von Stade, James Morris, Christine Goerke and Mark Delevan.
