Serving Collier, Lee and Charlotte Counties, Gulfshore Opera promises to present the highest quality of opera theater and classical vocal music performances while maximizing accessibility for diverse audiences of all ages. Their Educational Outreach program is committed to community building through a youth development program that empowers at- risk children to strive for excellence through music.

The Gulfshore Opera's 2014-2015 season includes:

"Viva Verdi"Concert Former Southwest Florida Symphony maestro Paul Nadler leads more than 100 performers on selections from Verdi's "Requiem," the operas "La Traviata" and "Il Trovatore" and more. 7 p.m. Saturday at Charlotte Performing Arts Center and Sunday at Harborside Event Center. $25-$75.

"Hansel & Gretel" Composer Engelbert Humperdinck's adaptation of the classic children's tale. This family opera will be performed in English with a chamber orchestra and colorful sets and costumes. Dec. 7 at the Center for Performing Arts Bonita Springs, Dec. 21 in Fort Myers.

Gulfshore Opera Benefit Concert with Michael Fabiano The world-renowned, award-winning tenor sings popular Broadway and opera tunes with soprano Joyce El-Khoury and pianist Laurent Philippe. Jan. 4 at Artis-Naples.

• Anthony Kearns Concert The popular Irish tenor performs a Valentine's Day-themed concert with love songs and classics from Broadway, opera and Ireland. Feb. 13 at Moorings Presbyterian Church in Naples.

"The Mikado" Stage director and bass baritone Louis Dall'Ava has performed 24 principal Gilbert & Sullivan roles in his career, including 17 with the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players. He'll direct and likely perform in this fully staged English musical-theater classic featuring Gilbert & Sullivan Players performers, sets and costumes. Feb. 28 at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center, March 5 and 6 at the Center for Performing Arts Bonita Springs.

"A Guided Tour of Baroque Opera" This chamber concert features eight vocalists and the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra performing baroque classics by Henry Purcell, G.F. Handel and more. A costumed actor narrates. May 2 at Artis-Naples.
