Golden Rose Opera Works to Present LA BOHEME, 3/23

"La Boheme ", Giacomo Puccini's renowned lyrical opera, will be presented in fully staged production by the Golden Rose Opera Works on Sunday, March 23, 2014 in the Lower Church Hall of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Forest Hills, NY . The show begins at 2:30 PM. All are invited. The production is the first for the newly formed musical organization, and features a cast with professional operatic stage experience.

Reservations are suggested and tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 917-952-5142. On the day of performance, tickets can be purchased at the Lower Church Hall door on Juno Street, Forest Hills, between 70th and 71st Continental Avenues. Prices are $20 per ticket; students and senior citizens $15; groups of four, $60.

Director Helen Van Tine-Golden and scenic designer Richard Cerullo have previously worked with New York's famous Amato Opera Theatre. The conductor is Alex Wen and the pianist is Jeremy Chan.

The cast includes Alea Vorillas, Bernard Milan, Gerald Kronberg, Deborah Surdi, John Torres, Joseph Martin, John Sheehan, Mark Bentley and Victor Ziccardi and the Golden Rose Opera Works Chorus.
