Los Angeles, CA - To begin their 10th Season, Center Stage Opera will be presenting three performances of Verdi's La Traviata at the Madrid Theatre in Canoga Park this September. Verdi's tragic love story has touched the hearts of countless opera-goers since its premiere in 1853 and this production anticipates upholding this tradition.

Shira Renee Thomas, Rachelle Woolston, and Matthew Miles lead an outstanding cast in this timeless classic. With Brian Onderdonk conducting The Center Stage Opera Orchestra, La Traviata will be sung in the original Italian with English supertitles. Director Dylan F. Thomas has set this new production in Paris of 1938 which has added a powerful, foreboding dimension to this spectacular drama.

The rest of CSO's 10th Anniversary Season continues with Stephen Sondheim's hit Broadway musical Into The Woods from Feb. 21-22, 2015 (CSO's first fully staged musical) and concludes with Bizet's immortal Carmen, June 6, 7, and 14, 2015.

Center Stage Opera has established itself as much more than just three main-stage productions each year. They also produce up to ten Amici della Musica dinner-and-song shows annually as well as their "Fun With Opera" Education Program for local schools, The Opera Tree community service project which benefits various organizations, and The Annual CSO Vocal Competition.

CSO brings only the highest quality operatic and Broadway productions to diverse audiences in the San Fernando Valley and beyond. Their mission is to inspire and enrich the culture of Southern California, and to showcase professional and emerging artists by producing exhilarating opera and musical theater productions and passionate concert performances of high artistic standards, and providing creative education and outreach programs to diverse audiences of all ages at affordable prices.
