From an opening performance in 2005, where the cast outnumbered the audience, to sold-out performances at the Madrid Theatre - the past decade has been an amazing ride for Center Stage Opera, and we're celebrating with a 10th Anniversary Season filled with special events, highlighted by three all-time favorites.
Our main-stage season opens with Verdi's incomparable La Traviata, Sept. 21 at 3 pm, Sept. 27 at 7:30 pm, and Sept. 28 at 3 pm. CSO favorite Shira Renee Thomas leads an all-star cast in one of the most beautiful and beloved operas ever written.
In 2015, CSO breaks new ground with our first fully-staged Broadway musical, Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods, a delightful weaving of classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales into a funny, moving modern classic. Performances are Feb. 21 at 7:30 pm and Feb. 22 at 3 pm.
Our 10th Anniversary celebration concludes with Bizet's immortal Carmen. Perhaps no opera boasts more instantly recognized music, melody after melody that have become a permanent part of our world. Performances are May 31 at 3 pm, June 6 at 7:30 pm, and June 7 at 3 pm.
All three productions will be fully-staged, directed byDylan F. Thomas, and feature The Center Stage Opera Orchestra, conducted by Brian Onderdonk.
