After a successful run of La tragedie de Carmen, at The Den Theater last year, CUBE quickly got to working on its next production. Formerly titled The Intimacy Project, Faces of Eurydice began with the question of "What is intimacy now? With everyone at our fingertips, a "swipe right" away, or one "Like" away, what has intimacy become?" Several workshops took place at High Concept Labs in Pilsen and Grace Church in The South Loop. After the first workshop, the creative team discussed how our movement and storytelling resembled aspects of the myth of Orpheus & Eurydice. The focus of the production is Eurydice and her experience of the story, as told by the six different performers playing Eurydice, who each represent a unique aspect of her personality.CUBE Ensemble-Faces of Eurydice-ADD 1 February 20, 2015 The cast features Ensemble member, resident composer, singer, and Artistic Director, Hope Littwin (Eurydice), dancer Beth Berta (Eurydice), dancer Vienna Willems (Eurydice), singer Jeremy Cairns (Eurydice), cellist Lia Kohl (Eurydice), singer Allison Cook (Eurydice), Executive Director and Ensemble member, actor Kroydell Galima (Orpheus).
