Opera lovers and those new to the art form will find the right price for all budgets. Single tickets start as low as $17. Additionally, full and mini-season ticket packages remain available with discounted ticket prices.

LA Opera kicks off its 30th Anniversary Season on September 12, 2015, with a double bill (running through October 3, 2015) showcasing the many talents of Plácido Domingo, the company's Eli and Edythe Broad General Director. In Woody Allen's riotous staging of Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, Mr. Domingo sings the title role, and Resident Conductor Grant Gershon will conduct. In Franco Zeffirelli's epic production of Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, Mr. Domingo will conduct.

James Conlon, LA Opera's Richard Seaver Music Director, will conduct the next four productions in the 2015/16 season: Jake Heggie's Moby-Dick (October 31-November 28, 2015); Bellini's Norma (November 21-December 13, 2015); Mozart's The Magic Flute (February 13-March 6, 2016); and Puccini's Madame Butterfly (March 12-Apr. 3, 2016).

The mainstage season will conclude with Puccini's La Bohème (May 14-June 12, 2016) starring Nino Machaidze as Mimi. Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the final two performances on June 10 and 12, 2016; tickets for those two performances are currently only available as part of subscription packages.

The 2015/16 season also includes two one-night-only concerts. Tickets for the first, a concert by bass-baritone Erwin Schrott (December 12, 2015) featuring tangos by Astor Piazzolla and Pablo Ziegler, will be available on June 28. Tickets for the second, a gala concert featuring Plácido Domingo and Renée Fleming conducted by James Conlon (March 18, 2016), are currently available only as part of subscription packages.

All of the above performances will take place at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, located at 135 North Grand Avenue, Los Angeles CA, 90012. Tickets are subject to future price increase based on demand.

LA Opera Off Grand tickets also on sale
Tickets for three innovative LA Opera Off Grand productions taking place in other venues will go on sale as well. On Halloween weekend (October 29-31, 2015), composer Philip Glass will collaborate with the Kronos Quartet to perform his hypnotic new soundtrack score along with a screening of the 1931 horror classic, Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi. Performances will take place at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, a 1927 Spanish Gothic movie palace in the heart of downtown (929 South Broadway, Los Angeles, 90015).

LA Opera's ongoing collaboration with Beth Morrison Projects to present new operas at REDCAT will continue with the west coast premiere of Song from the Uproar (October 8-11, 2015) by composer Missy Mazzoli, and the world premiere of Anatomy Theater (June 16-19, 2016) by composer David Lang. REDCAT (the Roy and Edna Disney / CalArts Theater) is located in the Walt Disney Concert Hall complex at 631 West 2nd Street, Los Angeles, 90012.
